lol i know what you mean ive come so so close to letting ths car go but they seem to have an effect on the owners they love to hate them but miss them when they go.... so why sell?

Yep.. The TVR really is awesome to drive and the sound is (dare I say) even better than the VR6.. But... I want the, both!!! Now stamping my feet like an eight year old!

The cost of having both is quite high though.... TVRs aint exactly reliable and the C is getting on a bit now bless her...

yea sure matey everything i have used so far has come from the

furniture clinic they sell different kits or single items i have only purchased the 'middle' kit £55 plus £5 postage and they say that will do a pair of front seats ............ i wanted to practise a bit first and im pretty confident that i wll get all of the plastics in the car done and maybe the smaller of the rear seats i am ordering some more on monday as i have some time this week to hopefully finish this lot off!!

give them a call they are uber helpful and very reasonably priced and the kits contain just about everything you need!!


i woudl urge though if you can get your hands on a compressor do it as it is so much better than the propellant

well started on some more interior plastics this morning took out all of the boot plastics i have prepped them and sprayed them all i need to do is put the satin top coat on then they are finished....

i took a chance and ripped out the passenger side recaro seat today and thought bugger it im gonna go for it and see what happens.... , now they look ok dont get me wrong they are clean is not tatty but the leather is good,

they have the useual bolster problems....









you can see hte ground in dirt you just cant get it out......

also in the above pics on the bolsters you can see the PAINT cracking i always used to think that this was the leather cracking and therefore shagged and need a re-trim, read on....................












you will have to excuse some of the pics as i wanted to try and picture it in natural light no flash the flash just makes everything look white!! you might be able to see on the varying photographs the different stages of the leather being prepped, you will notice that the cracks have almost dissappeard and the leather looking a lot lighter, thats because when you prep it it takes all of the **** off the leather revealing the colour uinderneath, even after the prep they looked good, in some areas i took all the paint off (by accident ) but it doesnt matter, on the upper part of the seat bolsters on the left hand side the leather had cracked just a small crack about 5mm long i used the repair filler and now its gone totally!!!

i cannot stress enough how good this stuff is to use i really cant and easy wow ,so easy............

even the back after cleaning is still grubby so i did the back as well!

ive orderd some more colourant and finishes i havent airbrushed for years and years got me right back in the mood today i might even try and do something with my swg scuttle panel.......

i know can you believe it in the flesh they look so so good the drivers seat is in worse condition but hopefully i can bring it back to life!,, i will never look at worn leather seats in the same way again!!

Those bolsters look magnificent. In regards to colour match at furniture clinic did they advise what the closest match was or did you guestimate from their colour chart. I reckon it's CR10/11 or 12. I'm not hedging my bets at all .

Hello no I took a chance , they want you to take a 5p size bit of material and post it to them they then match it exactly for you.... They had only ever got one corrado on file 94/95 can't remember which a customer sent jn a rear card sample I thought well as they supposedly only made 1? Beige it's got to be close enough!
In the flesh once it's dried properly the match is better but this is still lighter?? Fresher IMO it looks much better than the original job the plastics now match properly and it's all one colour, I just can't wait to get it all back in the car to see what it looks like!

going to start todays bloggy thing with................. guess what yes more boring ass pictures....lol

got me work cut out for me today i really need to make some progress as im getting grief from the women in the house as im stinking it out!! (theyve been good up to now but yesterday was kinda rough), i have some plastics to prep ans some seats to repair...

the drivers recaro sat next to the passenger one now looks completly shagged and im looking at it wondering where the hell do i start with it as it is quite a mess in comparison.... im not sure how this one is going to turn out tbh but ive got to do it....


one positive note about all of this is the furniture clinic who supplied me the clourant got it absolutly spot on!!!


????hows that you might be thinking......... well the rear seat base ive taken out today and the sides never see the light of day, and in all its glory the colour has been preserved....and its a damn good match,ok its still 16 years old and the seat i have just done has ot got any feed on it yet but you can see its almost there much better than i first expected!









the bolsters on this one are far worse than the other.... but it is the drivers side so i guess should be expected.....






this is something i have got to repair before it makes a hole!!!






the back of most rados seats are trashed like this one always real dirty and have big scrathces /battle scars....









well thats what ive got to look forward to today ive got loads to do and im waiting for the posty to get some more gear so i can crack on.................

good stuff isn't it, i have done 5 sets of seats so far the worst were out of a jensen interceptor it then went onto win the concours class at its last outing.

so got some more to do this year.

Really nice work, it just goes to show what can be achieved with some good products and elbow grease.

I think the backs suffer because they are made of vinyl and not leather, it just does not stand up to abuse like leather does.

Yeah, was just thinking the same with regard to the seat backs! It really does look like you're making cracking progress though and the results speak for themselves! Have you done the head rest on the passenger seat yet? It looks a bit darker than the rest of the seat for some reason...
