Steering lock?

Anyone know if a steering lock from an adjustable column will fit a non-adjustable column?

nope, but a polo one will, it's a commonly used VW part, only the Corrado column tube is unique to the C

(Hopefully) Finally, managed to hacksaw the old lock off, but the baring is left on underneath the spring and spline bolt thing. How do I get the bearing off? 
Do I need to get a puller on there, or is there a special way it needs to come off?

why are you removing a steering lock mechanism?, don't you just need to change lock barrels over?

Have bought an 8v which was broken into (and needed saving!). The chavs broke the barrel out of the steering lock, hence the need for a new lock as it's in several pieces!

New lock is fairly cheap from Vw - £14 last time I got one and is a Polo mk3 part.
