  2. Hi fella
I hope you don't mind me asking, I've got a nugget g60 corrado currently in restoration , I'm replacing the suspension struts with standard units, however I don't wanna fit non genuine top mounts,
can you clarify exactly what I need to convert from g60 to vr6 mounts.( is it just rubber mounts, bearing, Spring seat??)
And will this affect ride height??

    Any help much appreciated

    Regards Alex
  3. Hallo.

I have been a Corrado owner since I bought a 68k G plate 16v in early 2005, I still have that car and it now has a (mostly) running 16V G60 conversion.

My daily is a Nugget G60 and I have also owned a VR6 for a year and I just bought another VR6....

So that's 3 Corrados in total, plus a Triumph GT6 and a Passat estate - humn too many cars!

Measured the new plastic screws, 4mm so out came the drill and a pair of 4mm holes

Underneath looks ok, few bits that need attention where the underseal has split but otherwise ok. The car has a set of braided lines fitted which is a bonus - full set of all 6 flexis have been done.

Suspension is nearly new Weitec stuff, shame to take it off but I want the ride

Decided I needed to get the carpet out, rear quarter door cards etc as it would be easier to clean up like that, the car also needs an alarm installing so it's easier with no trim in and I can do a decent job of routing all the cables.

Got the drivers seat out and had a good hoover of the footwell area, started cleaning the drivers side carpet and the headlining - both of which are coming up ok. So all in all some good overall progress but not a lot to show for it right now.
