ISV is cleaned and working. The connection is on the left of the engine as seen from the front. I have fitted an oil catch can and cut the hose from the breather to the intake near the MAF so the connector in question is in the small hose that would have connected the breather to the air intake. I tried to post a photograph without success.

I too have an idling problem but not quite the same. On starting idles at around 700, very briefly rises to 1500 and then settles down again. It is fine until it get up to temp and then drops to under 500 and hunts. I have tried the usual, ISV and throttle body. Any suggestions welcome. While cleaning contacts I checked the plug and socket in the pipe from the breather to the big air intake pipe. The wiring seems to go back to the branch of the loom which serves the ISV. The plug seems OK but there is nothing inside the socket to connect to. Can't tell if there was ever anything there. Should there be and what does it do? Curious

Don't want to be a nuisance, do you still have them?

If from a late model very interested. How much are you asking?

Sods law, late. Thanks anyway.

The pheasants around here have entered their suicidal phase. Yesterday one succeeded in doing away with itself and both indicator and fog on the N/S. I know they are getting like hen's teeth but hoping that someone can help.

Hi All, I am looking for a tutorial for eliminating the PCV valve and fitting a catch can. Lots on google but can't find a VR6 specific.

Help again please guys. I set off on a 10 mile journey today with half a tank of fuel. Part way, there was a faint smell of fuel and by the time I reached Aldi car park the gauge was reading empty and a strong smell of fuel. Called the rescue service and on inspection I was told that a fuel line about midships had split (Plastic line with unions?) It must be the return line, is there an off the shelf replacement available or should I look at breakers?

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

I am replacing the blue sender in the manifold. However the wires to the plug look as if they are not going to last long, the insulation has broken up. Any thoughts on a replacement?

I am looking for a pair of late fogs for a 1995 VR6 but more urgently for the drivers/off side. My nearside is cracked but serviceable, offside completely smashed when someone reversed into me in a car park. Incidentally, does anyone know if the fog light can be easily removed from the plastic surround?
-
Hi, Do you have fog lights (late I think). I bought a pair off ebay not knowing that there are different types. I need the ones that fit into a plastic surround to finish off accident repair.

Just getting round to fitting the 6 branch. It came with the manifold gaskets but looking at the manifold to cat it seems to me that another gasket/s needed. If anyone has a diagram/photo of the way the join is achieved it would help a confused mind. Thanks

Thanks, OBD1 and blanked off after re-tapping threads to M12. Don't know what the original thread was but I went through all the usual suspects.

Car: VR6 I have just bought a stainless 6 branch. Due to my advanced years I find it difficult to get under the car to check, is the lambda sensor located in the down pipe or in the cat housing? I spoke to the garage about fitting it and I was told that should it be the case that the sensor is in the down pipe and therefore should fit into the 6 branch which has no provision, the ECU can be programmed to enable the car to run without a lambda sensor. Does that make sense?

Are 2.8 and 2.9 coil pack leads interchangeable ?

Not claiming on my insurance, got the other drivers details including his insurance reference number, name and address etc

Getting an estimate tomorrow. Damage so minor, possibly £200 for the front bumper respray but the fog light is another question .

Guy in his 70's. I was sitting in the car, hadn't put the key in the ignition. He reversed back but put hardly any lock on. I was out of the car and shouting before he moved forward so I got all the necessary details.

can't really believe it could be a write off. Anyone experienced anything like this?
