Too technical for me. Is there not a simple bolt on solution?

It seems that the gearbox bell housing is common to many VW marques. Is it possible to fit a 6 speed box to the VR6 without too much hassle. Just a thought.

I certainly need to get the gearbox mount replaced so shall probably replace them all. Do I need to get the mounts complete or can I get away with replacing the rubber bush only? Far cheaper but could be false economy.

Offside have a different part number so have to assume a different size. Got mine from TPS for something over £130.

I spent hours online looking for a cheap way of sorting this problem - without any joy. Bit the bullet yesterday and bought the lot from TPS for £137.97. No discount as they are 'a special order' but fitted today and the improvement is dramatic. Also fitted HID so now I can see at night AND in the rain. A question, not sure if this has been mentioned before: inspecting the blades it looks as if the rubber insert is symmetrical and could be removed and inserted upside down to double the life of the blade. The intermediate clips look as if they could be removed as do the end caps, any thoughts?

After a succession of 8 Scirocco Mk IIs and a G60 I bought my 'retirement' car - a 2.2 Honda CTDT Sport. With a diesel tuning box and Weitec over Koni adjustable suspension it is reasonably quick and handles well while giving over 50 mpg. However it does not give a buzz, so I managed to find a clean unmolested VR6 in blue pearl. One or two minor issues. Obviously the lights need upgrading and the wiper arms replacing. Other than that it seems a very genuine example. I have had it a week now, put 500 on the clock and enjoyed every minute except 10 miles in the dark on a country road and I just love making Corrado music in 2nd and 3rd:D
