    Naff Mirrors

You have cars go past you? :?
  2. Yup, highly recommended and only another £25ish per side to save a lot of arse ache. And while you're in there you might as well stick some Mk4 calipers on too
  3. Saw what looked like a red Monaro roll by your place as I left earlier 8)
  4. I'd go for VAG steel all round with Pagid FR pads. I believe the GSF disks aren't genuine, but are made by the same company to a slightly lower spec, but the Pagid FR pads make a world of difference to your stopping power (see my sig ;) ) The whole shebang, front and back will cost you £210inc VAT minus any appropriate discounts (I blagged 10% at my stealer with my CCGB card).
  5. Yup, I don't have a favourite magazine (although I'll sometimes buy Car, Top Gear or Evo) but I certainly know that I don't like PVW...
  6. ...and who didn't want to insure me 'cos there's too many modifications to my engine?..... It's not a modified engine, it's bespoke engine
  7. That's some crappy news to hear Phil :( On the other hand, it might just be that a previous owner decided to do some engine fettling while the front was being re-built anyway...? It would be good to get some more history on the car, but if you're happy with it and you've spent lots on it, then that's all that matters. Most C's have been re-built in some way or other by now anyway. Some are body, lots are engine and chassis work, so really don't worry about it too much mate.
  8. Apparently Autoglym Interior Shampoo is good, but TBH I've got some and I've not been wildly impressed. The easiest way to clean it has to be take it out and do it elsewhere though. It's a bit of a pig to do, but if you have to get in there to fix your sunroof anyway...
  9. Yup, that's about right for a laser alignment.
  10. I'll get you a handbag and some hair clippers to go with it if you want...
  11. That's the very same chain tensioner. You'll have to drop the gearbox to get in there, so it's worth putting a new clutch on at the same time. IIRC the going rate is somewhere in the region of £600-£700 for the whole job (inc parts). But I guess if you're charging stealer rates it'll be about double ;)
  12. I need to.. Get my tracking sorted (at the back! :( ) Fit the new fuel pump (both of these should be done on Weds...gawd knows how much it's gonna cost in labour tho :( ) I would like to... Fit my Infinity components and stop the door rattles Get her lowered on a decent setup Replace most of the front chassis Clean up the engine bay Fix the bastid rattles in the sunroof and get it re-sprayed Get an alarm fitted (got an immobiliser already!) Probably get a Basslink after I fit the Infinities and realise they've not got enough grunt  Oh and take out a huge loan to pay for it all :( In my almost 4 months of ownership I've spend £3.5k on her so far, (including the insurance excess from the tree incident, but not including buying the car itself). The spending needs to at least slow down, if not stop for a while so my credit card can recover.... Edit: Oh and nice one Darren
  13. Well I'm not going to be letting him do it again any time soon and I still have to cough up what will probably be rather a large amount to get all the geometry sorted :( In fairness that was out from the training day I'd done earlier in the week rather than Andy abusing it.
  14. Yup, so panic over :) The rest of the video is slowly coming together now, there's a heck of a lot of footage and we still need to film some more  It's gonna be a good DVD though, I'll keep you all posted 8)
  15. Then they'll want your blood type, every address you've ever lived at, the name of the dog that bit you when you were 9, the place you bought those sausages from last week and... It's your car and you've got proof of how much has been spent on it. Why does it matter what somebody else thinks the car is worth if you're insuring it for an agreed amount? Feckin insurance companies...
  16. I would say your car must be worth £6-7k at a very bare minimum. It's in superb condition inside and out (including leather!), with a virtually new engine and chassis. The problem is, it's only going to be worth that much to a proper Corrado nut, as everyone else is going to see it as 'just' a G60. As to who will actually give you a valuation on it, I don't know, can the CCGB do anything in an official capacity? Maybe G-Werks or someone can give an 'official' valuation. If you know someone at your yokel stealers they might even be able to 'officially' write down a suitably large value for it?
  17.    2x 6x2998406 Wiper arm and blade 1x 1J2955425A Driver side blade these were okay a couple of months ago when I bought mine - work a treat *cough* http://the-corrado.net/how-to/index.php ... tails&id=2 ;) The kit part number starts with a V... The extra blade is actually a passenger side one. You still need 2x driver's side arms but the passenger blade gives a slightly better fit than 2x drivers side ones.
  18. Broadband - yes, yes you should :D ABS - You disconnect one of the sensors. The connectors for the front wheels are on top of the struts. Just un-plug one and tyre-smoke a plenty :) Pitching - Yeah that's cos the tracking had already been thrown out earlier in the week  I'm still trying to fix it :( Miles - It took all of the miles off the fronts because the flat spots went almost down to the canvas. The rears are still fine though.

    100w Xenons

Yes I did didn't I   Things always seem better if you get them 'by mistake'. Now I know they were supposed to be in the parcel they don't seem quite as good anymore. In fact now I know the bulbs won't even fit the feckin car they don't seem good at all  :) You might be able to stick them in the boot light. Mine is a dim orange glow at best and utterly useless.
  21. I must say I was highly embarrased to be buying PVW, but I'll be mostly wiping my arse on the pages that don't have a Corrado on them  It is truly appauling what some people have done to those perfectly good dubs  Why don't they just call it Max VW I don't know

    Jabbasport

Is that another one from your personal collection? ;)
  23. If you say so :? I have used my foglights for a little longer than a 'few minutes' on a number of occasions and I haven't had to shell out £100 each time. In fact they haven't cracked yet Fair enough, but if they do crack, don't blame me :D
  24. That's not such a grea plan either because the heat from your foglights will crack the glass after a few mins of use. Then it'll be another £100 for 2 new foglight lenses.
  25. Cos then everyone says 'ooh why does it say 5V on it?'
