  bet thats 'interesting' :D http://www.mytyres.co.uk will deliver them in 2-4 days and then you can go slip your local tyre place some cash to fit them. Ask how much it is first tho, cos some places charge you extra to fit tyres that you supply. My friend at the tyre place I use wasn't around yesterday so I went to another place and they charged me £30   to fit 2 tyres!!! Shouldn't usually be much more than £15 with new valves and balancing tho...

I'll be mostly taking a trip to Smiths at lunch today then...

Welcome aboard! And you'll find yourself here more often than you think ;)

Yeah it was on the ISO connector.. but one of the wires that joines the ISO connector to the HU was swappable for precisely the purpose noted above ;)
-
When I put my Pioneer HU in recently I needed to swap the yellow and red connectors over (a la the manual!) to get it to stay on all the time. Otherwise it would only work with the ignition on and lose all of it's settings as soon as you took the key out.

Corr there are some beauts there. I need to go find that awful Nova that was for sale round here and take some pictures for general ridicule. Then set fire to it.

Hit the print screen button, then paste it into photochop ;)

Note 5 min job after spending a few hours ripping the dash out. Don't forget that when you put it all back together you will either end up with... a) a few screws left over that must go somewhere... b) a shortage of screws because there were so many missing and/or you've lost some

This was the closest I could get to something almost tasteful...

 I actually 'found' an extra 20 BHP by doing this, highly recomended! Yeah, my rear wiper change over did wonders for the left-hand bend cornering. And I think it made the aircon work better too. I had a look under there yesterday and I can't see a sodding thing because it's all caked in 10 years of gunk. Some more intimate time is needed at the weekend I think...

There are quite a few people on here that have had a bad experience with Jabba... both from a customer service and exploding charger POV. As VR6 says, Darren is apparently the daddy ;)
-
Good luck! :)

Oooh ooh ejector seats?? Now that would be cool. Although entirely pointless. I would guess they're for a nos system?
-
Don't know about front, but the rear ones are definitely Mk3 GTI (although standard Corrado ones will fit). I'd also be inclined to go for the Pagid FR pads, as they work very well with the VAG steel (see sig ;) )

Possible supplier of new (well refurbed) MAFs for late VR6s

Might want to see if Nelson_Wilbury can dig anything up on ETKA... -
My Mk4 calipers still have the rusty old carriers on them, so I would imagine you can use either the standard C ones or the Mk4 ones. The standard C ones definitely work though.

Yeah, it doesn't show up at any point. Which either means... The engine oil isn't getting up to temperature (the coolant does, so that's not happening). The sensor is giving screwy readins that are always too low (again not happening cos it's a new sensor) There's a loose connection somewhere :( I'll have a peer under there at lunch time and see if I can see anything...
-
Ohh it's called Gladis!! nice one. I was shocked because I thought you'd done a Mk4 conversion on the back of your C! Shows how much attention I pay eh?
-
Yeah it doesn't sound like fun. I'll have another look through the grime under there and see if there is anything obviously loose. It could well be a loose connection on the back of the clocks, but I don't see why that would have happened unless the clocks have been out before. Having said that, there was a new immobiliser fitted by the previous owner so something might have been knocked loose then.

 I was looking down the pics and I saw the rear of the Golf... and almost spat tea over the desk.. oh no wait it is actually a Golf!
