  1.  Dear lord don't do that! Take it to a VW Specialist, not the monkeys in blue!
  2. Well for starters a second hand one is just going to be a bit less broken than the one you have now. Rebuilding the sunroof (out of the car!) and just swapping them over is only a bit more effort and will fix the problem for another 10yrs or so. I don't know about you, but if I'm gonna go through the hassle of swapping over the sunroof, I only want to do it once. £250 for the parts is just a smidge steep tho  Edit: As a thought... are the Corrado mechs the same as the Passat ones? If so, can't you just swap all the mechs over and use the (presumably) cheaper Passat ones but with the Corrado tin top?
  3. Yeah but think about the amount of money you've spent putting it right... how much is it gonna cost you to go back to square 1 and do all of that again?
  4. Most importantly G12+ is a fetching shade of neon pink for the extra bit of under-bonnet bling  8)
  5. Oh so do I, I'll see if I can get some clips from the footage of mine being ragged at full throttle on Friday... Still doesn't compare to the pant soiling noise a big block V8 makes though :)
  6. There's a metal wire clip that holds it in, you need to unclip that (watch out it might ping off somewhere) and then pull the sensor out. Have the new one ready when you do though as the coolant will gush out. Oh and best do it when the engine is cold eh ;)
  7. Ah but that noise isn't as good as this noise ;) Edit: Sorry it's just words and pictures, not a sound file...
  8. In fairness if it's only been serviced by local garages, it's probably in far better nick than a VAG only car  Go for it Jim, you know you want a real engine :)
  9. I usually go for the George Foreman, it's hot
  10. In fairness nope. But with wheels that big you have to lose tyre profile, so you'll get a much harder ride. Kev's apparently going back to 15's on his cos it doesn't handle as well on the 16's... ;) Those Skoda wheels are nice tho Edit: Ey up, I just found your C in the members gallery...keep the BBS dude! They're much nicer than the Skoda wheels 8)
  11. And 17's will make your C ride like a pneumatic drill...

    ECU reset

    Ooh very technical
  13. Indeed, surely a break-down by individual colour would be better as then you get to see which colour is the most/least common?
  14. You'll need a side-on pic of your C to be able to do a decent photochop on it...
  15. Well it is something totally different, but they look good and they'll be ready as soon as 20 people put their names down...

    non starter

Sounds like your immobiliser is on the blink. If there was anything wrong with the engine it wouldn't start at all, or would run very badly rather than just cut out.
  17. Er - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16010 ;)
  18. It was about 70ish, I'll have to check exactly on the footage.

Just a note - Its important that you only use normal tea, If you use herbal stuff, the car will not idle correctly... Yup, the tea stage is very important. I find the PG Optimax with just a dash of milk works best for me.

    Boot space

And mine's got a full size spare, so there's bugger all room in there at all :(

    I've killed it!!!

They look quite cool tho :) I like your high-tech axle stand too 8)
  22. Yup. Or go for pink, you big freakin' pansie
  23. Nah that's cool. I have no idea what the exhaust actually looks like forward of the cat, so I was just assuming it was just rigid pipe. But as it's not, as with most things Corrado, it probably needs replacing.
  24. Mmm nice. So err forget my last comment and go back to the original replace it theory
