  1. We use DHL at work and they seem good enough. Don't expect any courier to be perfect tho - they all employ chimps. Make sure whatever you send it insured too (unlike the £500,000 piece of equipment someone sent back to us the other week that got dropped and wasn't insured  )
  2. It doesn't look too bad, but if people say it really needs a big FMIC behind it to warrant the huge hole in the front. I prefer the DDI one, but either way you gotta be careful of speed bumps - one knock and you'll split the fibreglass. At leas the standard bumper has a nice bendy plastic bit on the bottom of it...
  3. Little bush isn't a problem, now big bush...
  4. bristolbaron missed his chance, so I figured someone had to write it :)
  5. And there was me thinking they were some kind of magical indicator that tell me when I'm gonna get a blowjob
  6. They might just need a fairly simple repair job :)
  7. Yeah, I've heard it's a complete pig of a job to do, but I'm going down the route of... The directional controls for the blowers are screwed I'd like AC The heater matrix will need replacing sooner or later I need to take the door cards off to play with the ICE I want to Dynamat the rear quarter panels I'd like a full respray The alarm needs re-fitting The engine bay is a mess Sooo why not rip the entire interior out, clear out as much as I can of the engine bay, get a full respray, tidy up the engine bay loom, finish the ICE and fit Climatronic all in one go  The main problem is lack of me being able to do the wiring/engine bay stuff and/or the time to do things and/or the tools to do it and/or the place to do it and/or the money to buy the stuff. Otherwise it's a great plan  I'm hoping that once I've moved house and things have settled down, I can bike to work which means I'll be free to dismantle the car and can work on it. Still doesn't help with the place or skills to do it tho :D
  8. Very interested to see how you get on tonedef - I'm hoping to do this at some point too, but I really need a good week or two to do it when I don't need the car!

    SUB

Furk'z - I've got one of the Audioscape sub boxes and a fairly cheap Rainbow sub, but you're going to be looking at at least £250 for that setup.
  10. Sounds like a loose connection on the loom - re-seat all the connectors on the loom to make sure it's all plugged in ok. I had the same problem when I first fitted my old loom and it was because one of the spades hadn't gripped the pin properly.
  11. Yup, there's nothing that shows off your masculinity as much as a 6'2 lanky bastid unfolding himself from a tiny bright pink car
  12. I think you'll actually find it's pronounced "Escrote"
  13. I'd pester and bitch at VW - they're not Corrado-specific or even rare parts and they should have them in stock... Could try calling another dealer to see if they can get hold of them and if they can - go back to your dealer and tell 'em they're a bunch of lying bandits and to get you the rad next day :D
  14. Useless reply, but *snigger* at the title  Edit: Aww, you changed it :(
  15. Sorry to be a pedant, but you've listed a lot of information about the car, you know how much you've spent on it and as a result I'm sure you also know how much money someone can offer you for it between you saying "no way" and "yeah ok then". Please can you either make this into a full advert with a price, or we're going to have to take it down in order to keep things fair on others. Thanks
  16. Indeed they are, although mine have silver badges, not gold ones - I'm not sure if you can ask for either or if they only use the silver ones now or not.
  17. If you take the badges off and put some acoustic cloth in them so you can't see what's in them, then I'd say they were pretty stealth. TBH, unless you know what you're looking for I doubt most people would notice them...
  18. Ooh 12" sir? :D I'm thinking of getting one of these when (hah - if) I put AC in - have you got an end-on pic and/or measurements to show how deep they are?
  19. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the spacers/washers either really, but it seems to work safely enough. The callipers are actually 6mm further inboard rather than outboard... Rears are just standard Mk4 Goof et al items, so just the callipers and hoses need changing. You can use the Corrado pads, but it's recommended to use the Mk4 ones - they're a bit of a tight fit, but give you a much better pedal feel.
