Good point Dinklebunny, £6000 would get you a lot of shinny new parts for your money, assuming they were not on back order :? Rodders, there are some classic car policys that kick in at 21+ as well, Footman James will cover you at 21+.

Willi Schwebe's material from his time at Karmann on ebay!

Fair enough Eric, only 2 pics on the ebay ad and I can't read German! -
What have you done with the real Jim?
-
Could be that the stub axle/rear disc has worn slighty and that is why you are getting a groaning.

To paint or not to paint, that is the question..

Do it Phat, you know it makes sense now whilst it is in kit form. Just make sure you get it put together quickly once it has been painted!! (Like I can talk about getting projects done quickly ;)) -

It's only the really old ones Eric. Shame would have liked to lay my greasy mits on the Corrado one ;) -
Yes they do. Not the 50% super brilliance ones but the 30% brilliance range. Got a set just before chrimbo for my valver.
-
Halfords brilliance 30% brighter ones are good IMHO.

Ah the memories of a discount at the stealers. As my new stealer is the smallest one in the world (maybe) then I don't get a discount anymore :( It's not the parts manager, he is a really nice bloke and a proper petrolhead, it's just he gets an earful off the accountants if he gives a discount to anyone who is not a VAT registered business. (Although a few of us are looking to set up a business front just to get a discount)

Good work fella, all that effort will be worth it in the end.

WTF is a rose joint!?

Hello. First I would recommend using the search as heater motors have been discussed many times before. But does it only work on 4 or not at all? As for pics they need to be 1280x 1024, you can use MS photoeditor (built into XP) and change the size in there. The heater motor is the same as a mk II golf but the resistor pack (metal bit with the plug on it) is specific to the corrado to enable 4 fan speeds.

Photos are really good, car looks just right at that ride height too.

The earths are pretty critical on the early valvers and you may well have disturbed one with the water pump work. As has been mentioned previously the fuel pump should run then stop once the system have been pressurised with the key in the run position and the engine off.
-
I am pretty sure it is a requirement that they work if fitted but I am not sure that you need some.

Is that your three down or are you due one more? Sods law, don't know what I would do if someone hit one of my C's. I doubt it would be a calm tranquil moment.

The rear beam bushes are attached to the car in the area under the rear seats. This is also the point of the car with the least sound deadening material, so more noise will come through there. If it is the rear beam squeaking then I would suggest the bushes need doing urgently, they are shapped rubber with an internal steel bush the locates the bolt. If there is enough movement to enable the bush to squeak then it is very knackered!! The other thing to look at would be the rear wheel bearings, if one of these is a bit loose then it may cause the squeak.

It is also listed in Halfords bulb catalogue as a dash bulb IIRC.

Nice to get a mag feature, shame they are taking rubbish about the spoiler though.

The subject of the club and forum almagamating was raised at last years CCGB AGM and has been discussed by many forum and CCGB members at shows etc last year. I think the problem is that the club offers different things to the forum, and having everything under one roof would cause lots of potential problems from a legal side as the club has legal responsibilities due to it being a club.

I think one of the reasons they are blue is that the earlier black ones had some issues with pressure relief valve, you can only get blue coloured ones now but if you give them the part number from the black one ETKA should provide the newer blue one as a replacement.

2cc has had his valver for a good while (mid nineties I think) the VR is a bit newer I think.

Yeh self port steveo. Would get the boost return section enlarged on a lathe next time I think, the lower half was no where near as messy. Jim, it's a guiness engine..
