Neither can I! It's been through so many design revisions I've lost count.

Right, time for a bit of an update. Engine is progressing nicely despite my heavy handedness (broke the oil temp sensor in the oil filter housing, and it's in the wrong place too.) The RPM Tuning fuel rail and intake manifold are really good, also got the belt tensioning and routing sorted in my head now, bottom of the alt swings away from the block for tensioning - just need to fit the spring! Belt routing looks tighter than it is on the pic, I do have a slightly smaller pulley if needed but it should be ok, it is mounted on the top pivot for the alt so won't move when the alt does. Need to knock up a new fuel injector wiring loom rail as the standard G60 one is no good, fit the cambelt, rebuild the TB, and drill out the knackered oil temp sensor and fit it on the back of the cylinder head where it should be. Also need to finish cleaning and painting the PAS brackets, fit the knock sensor, and find a FPR to fit that is also rising rate, think the 20vT one is suitable but need to check.

The Force!!! TSR were pulling a similar stunt on their ported heads a while back. 'We don't bench flow them before or after because we know what we are doing' Really.... :?

F240BVV Corrado Press Car - restoration finished, what now ?
Yandards replied to JIMMI's topic in General Car Chat
They would have been registered to VW UK at MK :? Looks good Jimmi, even on OEM spec tyre width too! -
Right then. Had my first drive in the VR with the new bulbs in. Vastly improved over the ones that I had in there before. With dipped beam I can see a healthy distance up the road and am not dazzled by oncoming vehicles, main beam is great can see a lot furthur than before. From my hazy memory of driving 2cc's valver with an uprated loom the new bulbs are about on par with that. That's with 170k lenses on the front too - a new set of those would probably improve things a bit more.

Looks just as good as does on the Eastside site. (Maybe that's because it's the same pictures ;))

Leather is the best wearing material but to be honest just sit on it. You will more than likely find that the drivers bolster goes before anything else and if they are proper recarros you can not get a single bolster, its a whole seat bottom (and they are quite expensive)
-
Fair enough, not seen one that I can remember so just taking a (crap) shot in the dark.
-
Sure you can get some sort of stone chip type film that could be applied, I am not saying it will be any good just that it might not look that minging on a dark car.
-
Might not be as bad on a darker car but it does look gay and a half on a white one.
-
Should be ok without taking the whole dash out but you will need to take the passenger side lower shelf out and probably the drivers side too to get to the heater control box. Centre dash removal will also involve removing the clocks surround as well.

I think she knows it's rare just doesn't want to sell it, despite being approached by Campaign a few years ago. She knows what she's got, but it wasn't me who approached her, she doesn't care about the "scene" I believe to be the case... Discovered a couple of new car park "dings" today :( There is another one about in London (albeit I haven't heard nor seen that one for about 3 years now), and a final one I cannot find any trace of at all (there was a rumour that it was written off pre-delivery) Ah my apologies, rumour mill not quite getting it right again!! Still a shame though as that appears to be one of the last still running around, even though I again understand she likes the car, the main reason she won't sell, it is likley it will be in an unrecoverable condition when she does finally get rid of it. Wouldn't mind betting the 'lost' one was bought by someone who has it under a tarp somewhere.

Pics please! Loving the idea about letting TG/Evo know about it as well. -
LC5Z, blue pearl effect paint?
-
Yup, please see attached pic.

Your quite right. I just did the usual male thing of checking the manual after the job is done and removing the headlamp is the way to go. First car I've ever seen this on, not a good idea really as the allignment will be mucked up just for changing a bulb. Learn something every day. :) ST Nah, if you only take out the screws they spec in the manual you wont change the alignment by enough to notice. The alignment adjusting screws are on a different part. I did my first set of bulbs without taking the lights out as well
-
Ah bugger. Sure you will get one again Timo.
-
Er, because you are supposed to take the headlights out to change the bulbs.

I would love to find a company that will make any logo you like, as justmatz do but also embroide it in cotton not as a felt stick on thingy. Still happy with my mats, wearing well but I wouldn't want a set in a daily driver I don't think they would last that long compared to a set of Canons from Halfrauds. *2p mode off*

Strange Rado pictured in Germany Last Week!
Yandards replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
Humn doesn't look like there are any mini 'rados in the bag though :( ;) -
Right, my 3 sets appeared today so will attempt to get some pics of the light pattern before and after.

No, all Corrados use cable change boxes with the same size clutch too. The only thing they did to the gearshift mech was add a weight on the 'N' chassis year and on (1992 model year, 1991 build date on) and change the linkage on top of the box slightly to accomodate this. Although you can fit the the balance weigh to th original box. Only other difference is gearbox ratios but this should not affect the feel of the change that greatly. I would say my valver box is smoother than my VR, maybe its just the difference in the knob that gives the perception of a different change?
-
I'd give you 50p for it ;) Is the service by Jabba or JMR? Would guess around the £400 mark for a 25k R1 spec.
-
Err Jim the gearchange mech is identical accross all models, post shift weight mod. The only reason that you expressing a preference for a better gear cx on the VR is probably because it was set-up properly on the car you were driving.
