FFS, hope you catch the scummers and the car is ok.

Not sure what H&R are refering too with the use of 'plus' and 'basic' However in Corrado terms the following applies: 'Basic' refers to 16v(all) and G60 wishbone, ARB, ARB link design, bottom ball joint and track rods, these are the only parts aside from the subframe and driveshafts that are not interchangable with a VR. The 'plus' is exclusive to the VR and the wishbones, unlike the 16v/G60s are handed, i.e. left one and a right one. As for top mounts the late 2.0l 16v cars had the same top mounts as the VR6 as well as the same dampers and springs. The difference in ride came about due to the introduction in mid '93, on all cars, of a different design of spring cap (92mm instead of 105mm in diameter) and the introduction of 'lateral force compensating springs'. Basically plus came about because they needed a slighlty wider car to fit the VR6 into the engine bay. As such the outer wing, not structural and again fitted to all types of Corrado post facelift, was made wider, the VR has its own wishbones etc. It is only the front that is wider though, the back of the cars remain the same as 1432mm rear track. The other thing to be aware of is that whilst the VR came with 205 width tyres as standard you had to specify 205 width tyres for the 16v/G60s. The reason is that a slight redesign of the track rod is required to ensure correct operation with the wider tyres. The camper angle on the VR is different due to increased track, hence the reason that the 16v/G60s feel a lot more nimble than the VR on turn in etc.

Eh?

Sound advice my ham loving mod ;) I would still only do that to limp to Stealth though.

I enjoyed it. It did stop being a proper car review program a while ago. Most of us will never be able to own most of the things they drive in their these days; but it is good to see them in motion and being thrapped around. It is good entertainment and nothing else, 5th Gear tries to hard in my opinion and as such is rubbish.

Put my order in before Christmas as did most people on here, I think someone has got a set, just wonder if they are any better.
-
Nice looking VR, shame the cat has properly left some nice scratches on the bonnet.
-
Still waiting on my 3 sets (2 x 'rados and a golf to do!)
-
Just got a VR for my daily and I must admit compared to my low mileage valver it is a shed! But the VR is a lot of fun to drive without thrapping it. Car looks great in the pics, makes a big difference not having any/many stone chips on the front. 8)

Ah, the reinvigoration, hydration replenishment and firming of the interior posterior receiver is vital too. (Feeding the leather!)

Dunno I am still happy to say that I spent all day cleaning and polishing/waxing - detailing like I said before, just sounds too American for me. Even valet is a bit of a naff word.

You can get the proper product from the stealers, just ask for glass bonding glue (cant be arsed to dig out the part number) However any form of quick drying metal to glass epoxy would be fine, superglue is rubbish as it does not take knocks very well (and lets face it, it is very good at what is was designed to do, stick skin together)

You should be able to use any coil pack from a VR engine, Golf 92-98, Passat 92-97, Transporter 96-2004, Sharan 96-2000 and Vento 92-98. Hunt around and see if the Golf ones are any cheaper.

Detailing a car is just as important as fixing it :D Really don't like that word too bloody American, its fecking cleaning!! It only just about comes in as an appropriate description of the process in the dictionary ' treatment of or attention to items or particulars' Got myself a megs synth chamois thingy the other week, really impressed with it so far - much better than a chamois. (As this is a thread about cloths I figure a dictionary reference fits in with the rest of the content nicely ;))

Just who is this annoymous poster?

I am making a guess but looking at similar part nos on a Golf and Rados it looks like a 16v K Jetronic based ECU. Part nos of those changed a lot with various revisions so you may find it is one for a lambda probe etc.

Loving the rear engine mount setup but more info on the front mount engine would be great as that looks fantastic.

Stick the part number into ATP with any type of VW selected and click the boxes to ensure it searches all Audi and VW

It is a great shame when companies made a reputation by being the best, turn into a business for making money and cease to really care about their customers. I think that is when they start having real problems.
-
Yeah they are quite tough to fit, use the wrong end of a screwdriver to push them onto the car, you will get really sore fingers otherwise.
-
I did have a set on my valver but they fell off on one side so I took the other ones off. I will be sticking them back on as the rear arches have suffered a bit. You can't get new ones for the C from VAG anymore but they do come up on ebay now and again, should also have a Corrado badge that you stick on the mudflap.

Even if it is all staged, I mean who decides to do a 0-50ish run on a straight then ends in an allegator lake is clearly doing it because its silly. Might not be about cars like it used, i.e. good access to the radio etc, but it is very good entertainment and there is precious little of that on TV these days.
-
No way I would be jumping all over my C like that! Mind you if it was French the roof would fold in two ;)
-
Nice, not sure about the tag line though..

You should be fine with both front and rear seats. The dash does not mount differently and is the same size but you will probably find that the mounting points for some of the switchgear is different along with the shapes of the mountings for the heater vents.
