Supercharged Junkie

Hi guys I have to replace my fuel pump on my 92 G60 so how hard is it to do ? Took my car down to G-werks for a charger rebuild plus 68mm pulley and chip, but Darren noticed my fuel pessure was down and the car was pinking at high revs. Got a new fuel pump coming from the stealers, just need to fit it. Was gonna take it to a garage to do but they said they can`t do it for a couple of weeks because there booked up and they would need it for a whole day ?. So is it a DIY job? Right, Just done the repair and came very close to a HEART ATTACK! What happen was doing up the head flange lower bolt and the bloody thing snapped in half, luckly abit of it was stick out the hole so i managed to remove it also found a almost identical bolt(slightly longer) But was is the correct torgue setting for this bolts ? Did them up to 10nm and the seem alright so far Only tested it with engine running for 5mins but NO leaks

Yo guys Is there a aerial booster fitted to the C ? My radio has never worked since a got rid of my pioneer headunit, to a kenwood, I know kenwood aren`t brillant had radio but i thought i would be able to get something I can manually tune the radio into Radio1 and spire FM(local station) but if the car moves i lose the signal or it goes fuzzy? Read the how to guide on removing the aerial and there is a black wire that gets power when the headunit is on but if you unplug it nothing happens to the signal. So i guess that the aerial is shot ? Any ideas? Cheers Ian

I just drilled two holes into the slam panel, used 2 self taping screws....and there you go....the rubber bit on the edge of the bonnet holds it in place, but beware not to slam the bonnet down otherwise it will break :x

Hi I need help with a water leak i have had for the last 4months or so, Only used too have to top it up once a week but now i do more miles and i have to top up once every 3days :-( Booked the car into the local garage which is about 300yards behind where i live, and yet again even thou the car was BOOKED in they didn`t bother doing anything to it. Just left it where i parked it all day. So after losing it with the them i thought i might aswell do it myself. After that little rant,to the point, I know where the leak is but not sure how to fix it. The water is coming out of the join between the black housing coming from the rad into the engine block(see pic). what is needed to fix this, is there a O-ring or seal of some kind in there. Any help would be great Cheers Ian

Detail of the headlights means taking the glass lens off, and painting the outside edges of the reflector black. I actually used black engine enamel paint, works a treat. Used a touchup brush to apply it.

Just done the very same thing today, looks well sweet :D Gives it slightly different look somehow :roll: Only thing is that when i had the lights apart i noticed the main beam reflector is completely shagged :cry: anyone know how much a new set of lights from VW stealers are these days :?: whats the headlights venom are beginning out, anyone know ??? :? Hi Right i have about a grand(maybe more) to burn on my G60, so i thought you guys could help me spend it :lol: I work nights, so i sleep allday so i haven`t got time to ring all you guys up to get quotes. What am after is quotes for the following mods including VAT, labour....so on.... 1. Desperately need a charger overhaul, I`ve had the car for 3years now and am not sure when; if ever the charger was last done. 2. Hi I wonder if anyone could help me with some wire colours and diagrams for a 92 G60 Trying to fit a pro start push start button and the instruction are abit BLANK :x Here`s what i need to know:- 1. Remove the ignition light wire at the point it is connected to the alternator (Which wire is the ignition light ?) 2. Remove the wire from the terminal on the starter motor solenoid - WTF does this mean ? 3. Locate the terminal on the back of the ignition switch marked 1G or 15, There is usually a white wire connected to this terminal (is this true ?) Believe it or not but i only got this kit because it said it was easy to install :mad: Any help would be appreciated :) Cheers Ian
