Hi Just a quick one but does anyone know the fuel hose internal diameter where it joins onto the fuel filter? Is it 6mm or 8mm ID or either :? Cheers Ian
-
Damn, Nope wrong one mines just a oval shape casing that you wave here the steering column to turn it off Oh well, cheers for the help anyhow

VDO Oil Pressure sender on G60
Supercharged Junkie replied to Supercharged Junkie's topic in Engine Bay
Fitted the sender (at last) to the same place as riley and it works fine! No buzzer going off or anything. Had to turn the oil feed connector slightly because the sender was hitting the block but alls good :-) Cheers Now hopefully the sun might come out so i can put the gauges in ;-) -
VDO Oil Pressure sender on G60
Supercharged Junkie replied to Supercharged Junkie's topic in Engine Bay
Ahh, Cheers guys that clears that up :? Think i might put it where Riley has it, makes life so much easier with clearance issues. Riley did you have buzzer problems with that placement? -
VDO Oil Pressure sender on G60
Supercharged Junkie replied to Supercharged Junkie's topic in Engine Bay
Its the VDO 0-5Bar sender with a contact point for the oil pressure warning light and oil pressure gauge Now am really confused, if it replaces the low pressure sender then surely it must go where the original low pressure sender is! Anyone know the answer? Thanks Ian -
Hi Am some what confussed (Natural state i think!) on whereabouts the VDO oil pressure sender(360 006D twin pole) goes on a G60? Did a search and everyone says it goes on top of the oil filter housing, but i was told it replaces the low pressure sender(0.3Bar/Yellow wire) which on a G60 seems to be on the side of the block with the High pressure sender(1.8Bar) on top the filter hosing? So does anyone know exactly where it goes? Thanks Ian

Well yeah there was plenty of tread in the middle and inside of the trye but just didn`t want to risk it. Well had the MOT today, passed, well kind of; the offside rear bearing had excessive play so the tester said tighten that up and bring it back tomorrow and he will check it and pass it.... So well happy :-) Had advisory for having different size wheels front to back ;-) and handbrake only just passed at 17% when the pass rate is 16% also theres a slight leak in the exhaust at a joint so need to get that done soon Just waiting on the new front tryes which just been told won`t be here until next Monday :-( then back down to g-werks for coilover`s :-D
-
Cool, cheers guys Hopefully it will get thru the MOT, think i`ve got suspension issues because the outer edge on the passenger side was heavily worn as was the inner edge of the drivers side. Hopefully get thru the MOT because having new coilovers fiited from g-werks very soon
-
Hi Think i know the answer to this anyway but here goes, Booked my car in for a MOT for this Monday coming thinking everything was fine, just needed to fix the side repeaters so i thought :-( well while doing the side repeaters i happen to look at the front passenger tyre only to realise the outer edge of it was almost BOLD! Well order two new tryes from mytryes.co.uk but was wondering is it allowed to run different size rims e.g. 16" on the fronts and 17" on the rear? because i have an old set of 16" rims with 2 decent tryes on them sitting in my shed just thinking of putting them on for the MOT but will it pass? Any ideas? Cheers Ian

The way i`ve wired mine up, using the orginal wiring loom as reference is + = Live upside down T is Earth/Ground G = wire from sender Haven`t tried them yet, but like i said used the orginal wire loom as a guide so should work :-)
-
Would of thought if the g60 needed a more powerful coil VW would of fitted one If theres nothing wrong with your current coil then why change it. As they say if it ain`t broke, don`t fix it ;-)

Headlight/MOT problem.......with pics
Supercharged Junkie replied to skinnyman9000's topic in Exterior
skinnyman9000, If you want to just buy the reflectors i`ve got a spare LH headlight unit you can have with all the clips intact just the reflector fecked. Ian -
Got them on mine and there not that bad, the drivers side mirror is very good being wide angled you can see whats on the side of you for motorway driving. Passenger side is way too maginyfied  but i`ve got used to it. oh yes the drivers side as "objects in the rear view are liable to hit you" type message :-(

Rear ABS sensors off GSF - Mk3 Golf?
Supercharged Junkie replied to StuartFZR400's topic in Drivetrain
Part number for the rear speed sensor(ABS) on a golf is 1H0 927 807D and for a Corrado VR6 is 1H0 927 807A So i doubt if it would fit, think the C had its own ABS sensors but could be wrong -
They have given you a rear ABS sensor instead of a front one
-
Looks like you mounted the rocker cover the wrong way round :-)

Good work mate, Gotta be better than spending £200 for the same thing!
