  1. Don`t tempt me, please  spend far too much money already  Do you think i should get an uprated intercooler first ? That was my plan, intercooler then the head. Might be changing jobs soon hopefully, so everything is a bit on hold but will be calling soon :-)
  2. Just an quick update, Had the car MOT`d today and it passed with the LED sidelights in :-) Well happy!
  3. About time you got that car out of the corner and did something to it :-) Liking the big valve head, i want one :-)
  4. Hi Does anyone know if LED sidelights will pass a MOT? Got them fitted to my C, only thing is they seem to produce a white/blueist tint...A little bit worried about the blue bit of that thou  All i can find out about sidelights is they must produce a white or yellow light ? Do you think i`ll get away with white with a bit blue tint? Ian
  5. Well finally got around to taking my car to the garage to fit the new sump & windage tray, dropped the car off ar 9am, walked the 2miles home. Got home went to bed ( I work nights) then at 11:30am the garages rings me up to say the had to order another sump gasket because the one i supplied is from a diesel. :-( I must of told them 10 times that it would fit but no they know best, then they ask me where the locking wheel nut is! (also was having the rear caliper changed) told them in the glovebox....NO ITS NOT! another 10times i told them it was there! anyhow managed to borrow my mum`s car drove up there, had to show them now to fit the gasket and then went into the glovebox and got the locking wheel nut out for them!!! Honestly, got 4 garages within 2miles of where i live and there all fecking useless!!!! What annoyed me the most was that i left the how-to guide on how to change the sump and fit a windage tray in the new sump when i dropped it off, and the guy only read the bit that said get a windage tray for a mk3 diesel ! Got it back now, charged me £120 just for labour, DON`T THINK I`LL BE GOING THERE AGAIN!! Oh and they had a good old play with my stereo aswell, should of checked the mileage when i dropped it off...probably thrashed it up and down the road! RANT OVER  Ian
  6. Got one of these from darren at g-werks for about £30, very good quality haven`t got around to fitting it yet. Think i will take it to a garage to get them to fit it, done a sump on a scirocco before and the 2 bolts on the gearbox end are a complete pain in the arse to do :-( Ian
  7. Nah, crap thats just what i really didnt need right now, more problems! Darren, your gonna get another order for a BBM mount to replace the JMR one i have at the moment. Just gonna check the mount plate now, accelerate quite hard the otherday and heard a cracking noise hopefully it was just the wheels loosing traction on a drain cover (I SMEGGING HOPE IT WAS) Well, Cheers for bringing the problem to everyones attention Ian
  8. Right ok then, She took it back to the garage, they couldn`t really find anything wrong with it so they changed the coil pack but now it sometimes won`t start at all, then if you leave it it a while it will start but it doesnt cut out going along just the orange light comes on but the ecu doesnt record any faults? Any ideas? Thanks Ian
  9. Damn, thought it was too good to be that easy, damn thing just cut out again this morning :-( Oh well back to the garage and get the coil pack done
  10. Well update time, The garage she took the car to found a shredded earth wire, they replaced that and so far it seem to have fixed the problem :-)
  11. Cheers dr_mat Yes it is a petrol car, i will past that on to the garage she is dealing with... You would of thought the main dealer would of said something
  12. WTCC? Where is it this weekend then? I why wasn`t i invited
  13. Hi Need some help from anyone with peugeot/ french car related knowledge My mate went to start her 206 monday and it won`t start, she called the AA who had a look at it and didn`t know whats wrong with it; so they towed it down to her local garage who fought it could be the crankshaft sensor. They replaced the sensor, the car started, went for a test run and it cut out again....they took it to a peugeot dealer to plug in to there diag computer and it came back NO FAULTS !??? Thing is it will start, but just cut out when driving? Any ideas what it be, because the garage she went to don`t seem to know what it is.... or do peugeot :-( Am thinking it got to be something silly, like a sensor gone somewhere but the garage is charging her £130 so far for not really fixing the problem and she hasn`t got alot of money at the mo. So any ideas or suggestions on what it could be please post them Sorry for being a bit vague about the problem but thats all i know Cheers Ian
  14. I think if your car was built before 1st Jan 1993 then it doesn`t need to be fitted with a CAT after that date if it was fitted witha CAT at the factory it can`t be removed! So you should be alright, mine past the MOT last year with no CAT even thou the MOT tester said to me you have to have CAT until one of the other mechanics corrected him ! Should be interesting this year with all the computer MOT shite, i just know its gonna fail on something really stupid :-(
  15. Looks nice and neat m8 Wouldn`t mind doing something like that, haven`t even got around to fitting rear speakers yet thou :-(
  16. Jesus PhatVR6, What did you tell him the price of..... But seriously, take it easy m8
  17. Just gonna go out and get a copy, sweet car Furkz :-D
  18. Hi, Has anyone got or seen a Raid HP series of gauges with smoke glass so it looks black when off(like the autogauge one) Was just wondering what there like during the day, can you see them alright with the light shining on them?
  19. Yep, i`ve heard nothing but good things about brentacre, think i will go with them...anyone know what opening times are? Ive read that brentacre actually know what most the mods are, remember trying to explain to some insurance company what a strut brace was  Do they work saturday, if so i think i`ll give them a ring! Also love the way that tescos send you a automatic renewal notice saying that you don`t have to do a thing to keep your car covered, and NO WHERE in the letter does it say what to do if you DON`T want to renew  Cheers Ian
  20. Hi Well my car insurance is due for renewel again, and i want to declare all mods this time to get my car fully insured. Was gonna do it last year but Tesco send me the renewal notice and i didn`t open the letter for a month by then my insurance was already renewed, poor excuse i know but am very lazy at sorting these things out  Anyhow, Who`s the best to go with Adrian flux who i was considering until i read one of the other threads about them ! or Brentacre, who seem to have a good rep on what i`ve read so far? Anyone know the business hours of Brentacre ? Any advise? Thanks Ian
  21. Right, think i found the plate you are talking about henny on the original bumper but guess what NO sensor! Looks like i`ll have to get another one, PLEASE has anyone got one they want to sell to me :-) Hardly ever look at the damn temp, but for some reason it`s really annoying me not having it ;-) Looked thru EKTA and found part no. 357 919 379 A Outer Temperature sensor is this the right sensor ? Thanks Ian
  22. Well my car doesn`t have any brake cooling ducts, but i will have another look. All i got is a wire hanging down with a blue connector on which looks like it should plug into the sensor. It`s defo the temp sensor because its doesn`t show up at all when you scroll thru the MFA options :-(
  23. Had it fitted myself, just after i bought the car, Had to annoy a guy in the netherlands (stroeve motorsport) for about 6months to get it. tbh was in two minds about keeping the wing last year but i think it adds something different to the car, plus its the only one i`ve seen on a UK car ;-) Does look good from the side vide, and from the rear angle aswell 8)
  24. Yeah good idea, shame still can`t find the damn thing :-(
  25. Mate, think your getting confused with the light dimmer resistor  The plug on the driver side so must be around that area but i can`t find it. Don`t remember ever seeing it about so must be hidden somewhen! Help Ian
