  1. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?92537-Storm-grey-VR6
  2. I had a concours series 1 golf from 1980 with 32k miles which won all the shows last year. Sold it and bought the VR6.
  3. I sold my mint VW Golf GTI Sportline a year ago and I have no idea why as I had got it to one of if not the best original paint Sportlines in the UK.
  4. How bizarre  I've already got one lined up and a mk2 if I want them from one of my mates who builds them. I am 50/50 with what to do  What mk1 do you have ?
  5. My Storm grey VR6 is hibernating nicely in my heated garage but I'm still missing my mk1 Golfs and I am swithering whether to keep or sell. I've only had it since September and haven't even enjoyed it properly yet.
  6. Vag-Hag, Davevw and Leon263 have all sold me parts and they were all perfect :-)
  7. I'm jumping in just to get notifications of the answers as it's something I might consider in the future depending on rough costs.

    Adrian Flux

Adrian Flux are the worst company I have dealt with in 28 years of driving. I would never go back to them as their customer service is abysmal.
  9. I'm across in West Lothian and recently bought a VR6. You will certainly need to travel to find one as I did, down to Doncaster for mine. If I can be of any help give me a shout. I've also got a retro VW Facebook page if you do FB ? https://www.facebook.com/groups/102631646581469/
  10. Randomly my detailer just text me and the VR goes into him for tlc on the 18th January, result. Then once home I can start playing.
  11. Got a fair bit of things to do before the good weather comes. Bought a spare stat, housing and seals etc as well as a few odds and sods from Bob, as well as another P clip to put the cup holder on the passenger seat as well. Still awaiting a date for the paint correction so I can then start fitting all the parts that have stacked up. I'm looking forward to 2016 to get it looking decent and everything working and getting some miles and shows under my belt.
  12. I've bought the OEM fitment Alpine speakers for all 6 but only fitted the rears so far which seem spot on. You need the small wiring adapters for them to fit the stock wiring but they are only a couple of quid per speaker.
  13. Hi I will take this thanks. PM me your paypal details and I will pay you straight away. Thanks
  14. My last one was bought direct from VW around 4 yrs ago and it was £35 plus postage.
  15. The ebay gearknobs from Greece are original ones as I have bought one form him recently and it is exactly the same as the original one I bought from VW direct a couple of years ago. The only thing about the gearknobs now, is that the small plastic retaining clip that slides under the leather gaiter to attach it to the knob is discontinued, so make sure you keep your old one.
  16. I've just done the rears as not doing the rest til next year, wife just had an op and running after her and the 2 lads. The rears just needed the adapters to plug and play. So I'm presuming the rest will be the same.
  17. To me it's all about condition and history. Pitching it at the correct price is essential as there are way too many dreamers in the classic car game. Check out what else is on the market and it is a bad time of year too sell. I would not pay any extra for a Storm over a non Storm, as I have said already it's about condition and history. I sold 2 cracking mk1 Golfs this year and both were sold within 12hrs because I pitched them perfectly and I prob could have got more but I would have waited til the right buyer popped up which could have been months.
  18. Great looking car and I would have been over the water for it if I hadn't already bought my VR6 recently. Nice to see it heading to Scotland too
  19. I'm new to Corrados from mk1 Golfs but I wouldn't keep s car to try and make money from in the future unless it was going to rocket. Keep it if you fancy using it as a wee summer toy and then get your money back when you sell it or just sell it now and use the cash on whatever's needed. My last 2 mk1's were going up in value year on year but you can't keep everything :thumbleft:
  20. He's only just branched into Corrado parts do he's not got much listed but as I've said just ask if you need something and he will source it. I used him for all my parts for all 4 of my mk1 Golfs and cannot fault his quality and range of products.
