Hi mate, this sounds familiar as I've got the same symptoms on my valver, but haven't worked out what it is yet. Does yours slow when you lift off, and then slow a bit more after about half a second? (Sorry difficult to describe). Cheers, Tom

No experience but I think that anything that can detect active cameras is becomming illegal next year. Cheers, Tom

Good advice on here, as I've gone through this as well. My advice follows on from what everyone else has said ie. keep hassling them. I found letters to be more effective than email and phone calls, especially if you send them to the MD (who's name you can find on the Companies House website IIRC). If they start giving you any carp about how much you paid for the car (if they know) don't take it. The whole point of indemnity is to replace what you had with one of similar condition. Good luck, Tom P.S At least you're not insured with Highway...

IMO, keep the Corrado (suprise). Yes it will probably need more things doing to it, but it's got much more character, and wont suffer hugely on the depreciation front. If you want more power, you could always switch to a G60/VR6 /2p

Although something similar nearly happened to me on Sunday on the way to Croft. Came round a corner to find a yellow japanese sports bike with rider in yellow leathers on my side of the road coming towards me at about 70. God bless all round disks or there would have been Power Ranger pate all over the place. I think that photo's a fake though. Cheers, Tom

Man that's annoying, get it jet washed off as soon as possible perhaps. Unfortunately in terms of comeback, there's very little that can officially be done. I've got a similar problem with a certain Flat o' Chavs round the corner from me that use my car for target practice when gobbing out of their windows. Nice. Good luck with it, Tom

Good innovative work that man, but make sure you extract ALL those repairs from from your friend :-)

Lakeland sell a microfibre brush (like a short truncheon really) that's pretty good for getting inbetween the spokes. http://tinyurl.com/89way

Fencing equipment (that's swords not planks) :) Broke 2 blades in 2 weeks and need better protective clothing as the regulations are changing.

TBH so am I :) but I thought I leave the idling recommendations to the experts though  I just remember the amount of time spent trying to work out why my engine cut out when I put the clutch in...

Those RS' are lovely, they work best on a dark colour I think. Looks like a good ride height to me, and at least you don't have to worry about those pesky speed bumps...

Check under the gear stick surround and see if you have a mechanical immobiliser under there. If so it's possible that when you turn the wheel it interferes with the wiring and cuts your engine. Cheers, Tom

Looks very nice indeed and I'm glad it feels more stable than the last one :-)

Fantastic. That sounds and looks lovely.

Never was a truer word spoken :-) After half an hour of minute examination and application of autoglym followed by turtle wax the roof's red again (for the moment). Needs more wax overall though. More wax=less wind and pinkness resistance :-) Cheers all, Tom

Critical_Mass, welcome to the forum man, enjoy! It might be worth posting up your queries in the engine bay section as your more likely to get a better answer. I'm no expert on G60s myself, but there are plenty on here, Stevemac, Henny, G-Man and H100VW spring to mind, so I'm sure one of them could point you in the right direction... Cheers, Tom

Wow. Groovy talk of the G-Lader Diesel. Henny? :-)

Saw M505 ***, in Flash Red with red centred 8 (?) spoke alloys in the car park while at Croft today getting sunburnt. Anyone?

Not to my knowledge, although I've had 3 small rust patches re-sprayed on the driver's side just to stop the rot... The red badge was coullstar's work (as was the 3 slat grille and the black front badge and the springs/shocks...well you get the idea :-)) TBH he created a fantastic look that I really like and I'm just keeping it in as good a nick as possible. The paintwork comes up beautifully with Autoglym shampoo and polish, and I've just put a layer of wax on as well (although the roof is showing slight signs of pinkness  ). Cheers for the comments, Tom

If he goes under any low bridges he's in trouble... Could cost him (or his insurance) a fortune.

Hopefully should be down for one of the days but probably not both. I'm just about to check my diary :-)

I had a similar problem recently, and I'm afraid it turned out to be the head gasket. As in your case, there was no evidence of oil in the cooling system or water in the oil. However, I found the hose at the bottom of the expansion tank was prone to a slow (almost undetectable) leak, and replaced all the hose 'spring clips' with jubilees just to make sure. A couple of questions though. Is the car overheating at all? Mine was well behaved and show no evidence of overheating unless I was driving enthusiastically  Then the temp light would come on and the oil temp would get up to about 130 degrees... Is there any loss of power after it's warmed up? Does it ever have any difficulty starting? Good luck man, Tom

Right, a couple more pics taken for the benefit of the insurance company, but hell, why not.

I'm sorry I can't help with your question, but I do love your sig :-)
