  2. Not sure yet if i'm going to fit them cos of bleeding the system. my mates a mecahnic so hopefully he will do it for me then i will get the pics together
  3. i Got them From my local seat dealer. don't pay vat here so cost me £321. I think there £450 from ya local dealer. try Badger5
  4. should be a big improvement over my standard size to stop me 18's Josh, they were fairly cheap really
  5. picked these up today :D There Huge :!:
  6. my hall sender has gone, have a look at the plug under the distributar it should be tight to the body, if its loose it is probably shorting, mines loose i cable tied mine to make sure it was this as i was getting info all the day, about things to check this made it start fine but once it got hot the engine cut out, i also had slight traces of oil in distributar. You can replace the sender itself but u need to stip down all of the distributar, i've just gone and bought a new one to save time
  7. when u try and lift it off u will c where the pressure is on the location of pins if this makes sense. with running more than 2 amps u really want a second battery on a split charger system. U may b able to get away with a heavy duty front and bigger alternatot but don't think this will solve it fully. its all to do with the load on the battery. Power caps are usefull, they store the volts to keep the sub amp at full power rather than draining it straight off the battery and cause diming/flashing same when u don't use one. I use a heavy duty front, standard alternator, split charger system, second battery in boot, 2X 2 channels DLS, 1X twin mono DlS and power cap, i know the rating on my mono block runs at 1200rms at 1ohm, not sure on the 2 channels but looking around 260rms+ Don't have any problems See if your amps will accept 4 gauge as this will allow more current thru
  8. i'm running 4 gauge down the passenger side of car, the sill covers are plastic with plastic push clips underneath, u just have to be carefull. work out where each clip is and pull up where it is. I had all my rcas down the centre tunnel last yr, my rcas were similar thickness to 4 gauge, its very tight behind the dash.

  15. Cheers for the help guys going to get onto the case 2morrow from the info u have given me i am almost certain its the hall sender and seal thats gone, shorting wires, the fit of where the multi plug goes into is loose so i think theres the prolem
  16. cheers stevemac. would this cause the car to stop firing now? is the easyiest way to replace the whole distributar as i hear u have to strip it down to change sensor?
  17. I checked all the connections on coil, took the cover off the distributar, there was little oil but nothing to write home about, cleaned it up. put all back together, started fine went for a drive and all was fine, after about 5/10 mins when the engine was warm started to do the same and the engine just died. tryed turning over but just won't fire. the car had new plugs and leads 500 miles ago. anyone got any more ideas? think it could be the haulsender
  18. I've been looking into this alot recently trying to find companys who make them without success really. A mate of mine has just had a cage fitted into his Saxo, made by the company Dimma. The quality and fit is superb. I gave them a ring to c if they would do a one off for me, Booked my car in for the start of november. I've said i use a Corrado forum and there might be some guys on here that are interested aswell. Maybe theres a few that are up for a group buy? He gave me a rough idea of cost which would about £300, but all depends on how many are interseted. The Cage bolts to the existing seatbelt locations and is designed around the fact of having the rear seats in, but of course u can take them out. The cage has no diagonal, but if people want this i can speak to them to c if they would do it. The Tubing is 50mm highly polished Aluminum Anyone interested let me know or if u want more details i will find them out. Spoke to them today and they would do one with diagonal or with diagonal both sides Cheers Chris
  19. i will have a look. used the garage for the last few yrs, but he could of foggoten it cheers chris
  20. yeah thats the speeling nigel, not something i heard before. i presume the fuel filter was done when the head gasket was done cos he replace quite a few bits that need doing, bearings, hoses etc
  21. spoke to c&r earlier and they think it could be a contact on the coil or the horsesender (spelling i think) has gone. going to check coil 2morrow but waiting for my m8 to check distributar
  22. i've got a 1.8 16v had the head gasket done about 500 miles ago. been fine since, went out in her today, not been out for a week. went to accelarate and just looses power, shaking and chugging, seeming as if its not firing on all 4. let off and try again still the same. pull up and pop bonnet theres a little spoke coming from the rad for a second. turn off engine for a few mins. start her up again, of i go no problems. pull up a petrol station fill up, go to pull off again and the same thing happens as before anyone got any ideas?
  23. it just bonds on to the window, got one on mine
