Hi there, Site Questions is a forum for questions about the site ... so moving to Exterior. I think there are quite a few kits about these days. There used to be one or two forum members knocking them out but not sure these days. Personally I'd pay a bit more and get one with OEM plugs on.

Hi Paul, 16 views isn't really all that much so I wouldn't worry about people ignoring you. The questions are quite specific so probably need the right G60 person to come along. But although I don't know very much about the G60, I will try and help (in my own way!). Take a look at the Advanced Search (http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/search.php) and the first thing I would (have) search for would be: +G60 +top +mount* Select the Drivetrain forum and then (important) select topics rather than posts. Then instead of +top +mount* I would do a new search for " +G60 +wishbone* " .... and then " +G60 +ARB " etc etc.

What, since the leather restoration? I always think it's fantastic seeing these restorations but just as good seeing how long the results last for.

This is only my opinion so feel free to disregard it and substitute it with what you consider better advice! But, to me, it sounds like it's not worth even bothering with. If he wants to give it to you, fair enough, but I wouldn't be parting with cash or another car for it. Unless it has stupidly low mileage and it mint apart from the problems (unlikely), I would suggest it's not worth very much even after you've done the work, which will take a fair bit of time, effort and cash. But, saying all that, if you're competent with bodywork and mechanicals and enjoy projects like this, by all means, it wouldn't be a catastrophe if you bought it. But I don't think you'd be asking for opinions if that was the case ;) Or maybe it's just 7am and my caffeine levels are low! :) In actual fact it would be nice to see one restored rather than scraped!

2011 Corrado Forum Calendar - A few Still Available!
VR6 replied to _Meth's topic in General Car Chat
Just to add .... the cost price of these calendars is really £15? It would be one thing to sell the calendars, using forum members' photo's, and donate any profit to the running costs of the forum. It would be another to be pocketing it yourself. I'm not sure which one we're looking at here but the cynic in me would say the latter. I hope I'm a bad judge of character though. I did let Toad near my tent once so it's very possible. Corrado16v18. I know given some of the comments you're probably not too inclined to get much more involved in this. However, I think if you communicated more and were a bit more transparent, you would find that people were a lot more understanding/forgiving. It seems you are visiting the forum, yet not responding here, so I would strongly suggest clearing things up. Hope I haven't stepped on your toes there Tom ... -
Excellent write up, cheers Greg :salute: Just a couple of slight modifications if you don't mind. I've added the word 'VR6' into your post so that the thread is easier to find when searching (I would look for +vr6 +fuel + filter). And also, I've moved it to the Engine forum - Exterior tends to be for bodywork and external type stuff, whereas obviously the fuel filter is pretty crucial to the engine. Hope that's ok.

3.44am says it all  Hope your day goes well! Come back later and tell us how wide your grin is ... or how much you hate it

It's not a bad plan John but seems overly complicated

Fantastic job! Might have inspired me to break out the Gliptone although it sounds like I may need some additional products as well! I had read on another forum that there are some sort of mild abrasive scotch cleaning pads that give tremendous results on old leather. Not sure whether long-term the abrasive will be a good idea though. Will try and find it if I remember. Edit: Ah, I remember - it was Pat McCrotch and the tip was from the R32 forums so they're not exactly idiots when it comes to cleaning/detailing. It is mostly all they do after all  Edit: Ah ha! Took some finding but here you go: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=100090 Oh and moving the thread. Seats tend to be on the inside/interior :)

TCS  God you're really hitting the black ice as far as forum questions go
-
There's already a thread on this so closing. Not to mention we're not providing this forum just for others to springboard/pimp their own ideas and clubs from.
-
Nope. Depends. Recaros are worth more ... as are interiors from later cars i.e. VR's. Very roughly - standard £550. Recaro - £750. But it totally depends.

Auto and manual I would agree with but what are the odds some people don't know/care which Dealer it came from? I'm just conscious of limiting the info to a) what's really pertinent and b) ensuring everyone can complete all of the fields asked for. Perhaps add the number of owners? I'm not familiar with UK DVLA and log books so no idea what info is available/concrete. So updated list: Forum Name Year / Plate Mileage Auto / Manual Green or Blue Number of Owners Current Location

Seeing as though I've just started a pretty huge colour poll, I was also thinking of other fairly interesting threads to start and the Storm register came to mind as well. Fairly easy to keep track off (relatively speaking anyway!) so I figured it might be easier for a Mod to keep track of. So ... if I started one, what would we want on the register? Forum Name Green or Blue Year/Plate Mileage Unique uection of VIN number (only unique thing about them really ;)) .... ? Location I don't want it too complicated but I do know there's more stuff that could be added. Is there anything really important that would be needed on an unofficial register?

There is no such thing as an insurance group for a supercharged VR6. They take the basic premium group rate and then decide a premium loading to apply to that based on thier view of how significant the modifications are. So they could add 25%, 50%, 100% - whatever. It's a subjective matter. One of my early jobs as a youngling was at an Motor Insurance Broker. The process hasn't changed, trust me. I don't think that's what the Doc was driving at John .... the conversation somehow moved to the 0-60 time for a charged VR. 36 seconds apparently  Will have to add that to the Wiki.
-
The insurance group isn't necessarily relative just to performance. It's about cost of parts and the repair/replacement cost as well. If you want a Corrado, you pretty much know it and buy one. Ok everyone wants to know that extra performance can be obtained as well but if you're talking normally aspirated that usually means performance gains can be expensive. £3k is a good budget depending on what you're after.

Based on the questions asked, I think you could be looking at the wrong car! Don't take that the wrong way.
-
Definitely not a UK option. Looks like either a US tailgate or someone's just added their own aftermarket third brake light. Sure someone with a keener eye will be able to confirm!
-
No one want more free ham before it starts going off??
-
Vettel challenge opens up in the challenge section once you get to level 30 I think ... ? Really missing playing GT5 :(
-
Is it possibly a problem with an immobiliser? Just to make another suggestion.

Sunday night when his missus has finished a wash

To be fair, you can use the right hand joystick for go and stop as well.
-
Is it wrong then that I enjoy doing the licence tests? I love the fact there's a benchmark you've got to achieve. Add away :)

 This Spring/Summer when I have a new gaff and somewhere to work on her. It will be no expense spared! Fired her up at the weekend for a monthly warm up and first turn of the key, off she went as usual. Plan is get the interior sorted, re-do the brakes, freshly refurbed Speedos (sitting upstairs) and a respray/damn good detail!
