  1. Good point Tony! I assumed the tight fit meant a good seal. Certainly worth adding some grease there to minimise the risk of water ingress Extensions were literally pieces of tubing that i fitted on to the vent barbs on the top and bottom of the light. I'll post a pic when i remove it again.

very smart. The nice think about the RAs is the protruding nature of the pattern combined with a nice lip. The Mahles above are flat, but still a handsome wheel no doubt.

RAs are great looking wheels, a shame they're not available in 5x100 - certainly I've never seen any
  4. i'm looking to get a broken sunroof for parts so we can get the broken bits made up. Got one part so far and as soon as we have something i'll post up.
  5. I had a mail from Drey76 and "his friend's " email was: [email protected] This carterjamie guy has been doing the rounds on several forums.
  6. OK great, thanks. Part number is a big help too, thanks.
  7. Ah ok. Would you mind taking a photo of the hose connection to the condensor please? I'm looking to swop my one out some time and most of the new rads have a push fit adapter thanks Hasan
  8. yes i received one of those when i posted up a wanted ad for two rims - his friend apparently 'had some lying around'...yeah right cant remember the name but did a search and its quitea well known scammer.
  9. Does anyone have a pic of the wiring from the lambda? For OBD1 (for a friend) Mines OBD2 so no help. Ideally a pic of the wires going to the connector. Its the 3+1 connector and wires look like they've been cut and joined badly as below thanks Hasan
  10. The passenger side indicator seems to collect moisture after a few days. I've taken it out, dried it thoroughly for a few days in the airing cupboard, sealed up the lens edge and even put some tube extensions on the vent in case water is wicking down from somewhere. Still collects moisture. I've filled it with water to see if there are any drips but none at all. Drivers side is fine car is sorned at present Does anyone else have this issue and if so how did you solve it? Might otherwise invest in some of those replacement lights from buycarparts Thanks Hasan
  11. Looks like nice aircon rad there - any details? Plus the dryer looks different (read better!) to mine too
  12. Not cheap then. We'll get some numbers together on making them here once i get hold of dimensions and see what we can do about postage to you JP. Hasan
  13. You'll be fine! Anyway, certainly interested in how you get on. Like you say the bottom end can handle it and unless you're looking at 300+ hp it seems that the top end mods are head bolts and injectors. I think there's some info on Vortex and Rotrex certainly seem to have ironed out some of the torque issues with superchargers eg vortech and others. Hasan
  14. Yes shouldn't be an issue if we have a drawing or dimensions Hasan
  15. Postage is strange on that one! If we can get dimensions i can look to getting it made
  16. Wow! Just prepping it would have taken some time . It'll also provide some soundproofing too.
  17. Although my car has been sorned for about 6 months, there was an 'issue' with the cooling fan coming on after only 5 minutes of driving from cold. I've replaced the rad sensor a few years ago but does anyone know the resistance it should be? I'm suspecting it's failed although it was a genuine VW one.. Btw, gauge temp is only just above 70 when it comes on. thanks Hasan
  18. Sorry for the delay in sending pics of the bonnet rib cutout. The white is adhesive from the tape i used to cover it. I covered the area with masking tape, and cut through that as opposed to using the dremel directly. The bottom of the pics are towards the engine
  19. Car is sorned atm but next time i'll check and post up
  20. i've installed a HUD which measures water temp from the ecu as well and you're right the dash gauge shows around 10deg lower. I've also fitted an oil temp sensor into the drain plug just need to wire it up into a separate gauge that i'll mount in the console cubby hole so i dont need to keep the mfa on oil temp all the time!
  21. This is not the famous badboyhiggins with his 'bargains' is it?

    Door hinge.

Chipping certainly is not nice. I used two shims iirc (i'll have a check again!) to push the top out but i dont remember having any issues with alignment afterwards.. maybe my door is already wonky! Yes you're right - shims behind the top hinge. Bottom hinge will accentuate the drop

    Door hinge.

I used a shim behind the hinge bracket to realign and take up the slack on mine. Must have been about 15 years ago now.

    Vr6 brakes

Offsets that don't require spacers and don't rub the arches are from 33 to 43 on a 7j wheel with a 205 width tyre.
  25. yup you need to cut a mall strip off the bonnet. I'll take a pic of mine if that helps. I put a strip of bluetac on the bonnet and kept closing and opening the bonnet to see exactly where to cut. despite the bluetac it still took about 5 runs to get it right. fitting and hiding everything is a pain, but you seem to be doing well with yours Hasan
