  1. I'm after one of these: Part No - 357862153 Posted to Bristol or within driving distance to arrive ASAP as drivers door currently not working on central locking. I can only get one through classic parts which wont arrive in time, or that robbing git on ebay, who i don want to give money too! If you can post me one out today/tomorrow or are within a sensible drive from Bristol let me know price including postage & paypal details and i'll send money over asap. Cheeeeeeeers then! Baz
  2. I only sold up because it wont be the same without you! :camp:
  3. £180?! Amazing! See if you can get him to do a £500 forum special! Decent weekends earnings for him and great saving for us?!
  4. Here you go bud, thanks for sending pics. Price is insane in todays market, you could've got away with a £950 price tag at the moment! I hope they go to a good home, if it wasn't a 400 mile, 7 hour round trip i'd be up like a shot - and i don't even have a car to put them in
  5. there's really not much exciting stuff! i promise! as per the other thread, your car is pretty much my perfect spec.. Storm grey, Recaros, Schrick/VSR, Audioscapes are all essentials in the next car. :afro: Other option is ridiculous 2.0 16vG60 monster with ultraviolet recaros!

    Lost Keys

i was gonna suggest giving her another set and tailing her
  7. small world  theres not a lot up there thats exciting, just piles of 'stuff' thats been accumulated! There is a set of grey leather Recaros though - the plan is/was to save them for a Storm grey VR for the future, but who knows. Otherwise it's mostly bits. i want to start over with a clear garage rather than trying to squeeze a car around boxes :bonk:
  8. epic! and with black door shuts/engine bay it wont look silly either.. well played.
  9. Cheers guys - Sean I'm in Fishponds, so not far.. James, of course
  10. Just taken a deposit on the VR and realised from Thursday this will be the first time I've been Corradoless in almost 9 years! Heres a Flickr link with photos of some of the highlights! FLICKR I'm sure I'll still be checking in here daily, if not just to browse the classifieds :bonk: I'll defo be in another one at some point, I just have to get a few things in order first. I'll be up the garage this week photographing spare parts for sale - there are boxes and boxes to go through. Baz
  11. Big difference with this though - starting bid was 99p, so its buyers driving the price up due to demand, rather than sellers trying to make a fast buck. I bought the last few G60 grille badges worldwide a few years back. Have always advertised at 99p start and they've sold for £50-£100. I could never ask £100 for one, but if someone wants to pay it..
  12. Theres some things in life that I don't like to think about - world poverty, the people who slept in a hotel bed the night before me and how much i've spent on corrados over the years all fall into this category..
  13. hmm.. i've always found them to have a bit of up and down movement. It's a very subjective thing though, but not one i'd expect a garage to come up with just to fail you - it's not an obvious job for them to get you to just agree to pay for like discs/pads or something would be. now that its on a failure sheet another garage will have information that it's failed based on it, so i would go in and ask them for an opinion of it before paying out for another mot. if they're happy, then pay for the test. there will be suggestions of replacing with a fixed column, which seems popular on here, but i love having height adjustment so it wouldnt be an option for me!

3 sets all for sale recently... could be worth getting in touch and seeing if any still available.. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=501051 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171072054284 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360684603779
  17. Oh joy.. they're back. I thought you were going to quit once you'd recouped your costs. :ignore:
  18. Just got a proper look through all the pics now i'm back home on the laptop. seriously impressive stuff! Defo took over the show
  19. Properly gutted I didn't make it down today.. Spent every spare minute the last week getting the VR ready for a midday appearance, but didn't finish till 6pm tonight  Loads of little jobs, which all took that little longer than expected, but had to be done right. The car is now properly sorted though, had a decent drive this eve so I'm pleased. Gutted especially not to have caught up with James and my old R32 - so close to home but not close enough! And Mic, who I'd been talking with during the week. I even had Steves watch box in the car ready :( Pics look great, well done to all involved. Baz
  20. Finally put it back together! I've had the dash out for forever, whilst sorting the meater matrix and exchange box I'd found a fried stereo wire. Didn't want to mess around myself so got a mobile guy in yesterday. Today I refitted all the heater pipework, with all new seals and refitted the dash. Just the undertrays to go in tomorrow morning then I'm ready[ish] for Castle Combe.. see you all in the afternoon!
  21. Very nice car, from a great, long standing contributor to the forum. I've always enjoyed Iains ramblings and random memories and could've been tempted to view the car just to meet him in real life  I know this has been a decision made over a number of years, so must have been hard to finally let it go. Glad it's found a good home.
  22. Get yourself a schrick on there and I want first refusal when the time comes! :thumbleft:
