  1. Hi I'm hoping someone has a set of broken late heater controls they can post me the directional control wheel from. I've taken mine apart and found it broken underneath. If you have one please pm me a price and payment details. If you have a well priced complete set im also interested! Many thanks, Baz
  2. a million pounds is about the going rate. [closer to £60-80 IRL] [disclaimer] - thats if you only need the control panel, theres every change somethings gone wrong with the cable/exchange box, which could be 5 hours of work to remove/reassemble, plus the cost of a replacement box - another £60 - 80.
  3. beige in grey? lets see some open door shots!
  4. Who knows.. It was a belter at the time, such an easy watch to sell. The first models had the red/green for quartz and skeleton logo for Automatic. I'm looking for a grey dialled Auto. It was the first watch completely CAD designed. [can you say CAD designed? CAD'ed? ] Yep, LVMH like to charge for everything possible. It seems hard to get away with a basic service without being told you need something else too. Again, my stepfather can obtain genuine parts from LVMH for service. He's one of only a few in the country that can offer this. Rolex are phenomenal in what they can offer, hearing about what goes on behind the scenes they're a great company. Sadly Henry Hudson, the head of UK Service for many years retired a couple of years ago. He was single handedly responsible for the majority of Rolex UK's reputation. Omega are another great brand, again i'd recommend sticking with automatic movements such as the 007 above, however they do well at looking after older customers with sourcing parts. [unlike VW ]
  5. [constructivecriticism]From reading through the thread you aren't making any profit from a product which is clearly problematic. Why bother? Stick with the stainless bolts and don't let this avenue tarnish your name.. [/constructivecriticism]
  6. ..and although i'll always defend Rolex's quality, my ebay watch list is currently full of Kiriums!
  7. I quite like a dirty engine bay - nothing to hide. I do get offended by no tyre shine and the steering wheel not being straight though, so horses for courses!
  8. The truth is almost entirely opposite. Rolex are one of the only watch brands where you're paying predominantly for quality of hand made components. The movements found in quartz tag watches are worth about £8 tops.
  9. It's my stepdad, and yes, still going very strong! He's currently spending 3 weeks at Breitling and has his other repairer booked in for Rolex certification. I can get the glass arranged no probs, either let me know or contact the shop direct - http://www.watchworks.co.uk

I have a brand new boxed one..
  11. I've got a lovely Rolex box available if you find a watch without one
  12. No personal experience, but they're well tried and tested. what are you looking to buy?
  13. ha! someone didnt sit down straight!
  14. I'm sure a catholic priest would disagree :shocked!:
  15. hmmm.. if they get down to £50 let me know and i'll have them for spares..
  16. Indeed.. Although if you went to 15mm, you could use a bolt to hub/bolt to wheels system, which personally i would prefer to just using long bolts. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15MM-HUB-CENTRIC-WITH-FLANGE-SPACERS-4x100-FOR-Audi-VW-Seat-Skoda-/221188573578 I'd be interested in what other people think is better though!
  17. et45 really isnt enough bud, id be looking at spacers as your first port of call..
  18. Parts depts are generally populated by jobsworths that are bitter they aren't motivated enough to become salespeople.
  19. Thank you CazzaVR. I'm amazed some people still don't realise whats a joke and whats not.
  20. subcool - I hope you're banned. This is the reason other forums end up locking 'joke' threads. Racism is not a joke.
  21. Great, yet surprising choice Kev.. I wouldn't have put you in a mk4 after the rado. [and was looking forward to a Z3M thread] Indeed.. I had the Konig K5000's in my Rado and they're epic. If I was half a stone heavier I couldve got in them though!
