As long as you have money for a decent 993 its a nobrainer.
-
whatever you do, don't go for not reporting it! is it a show cage or approved? bolted or welded?

Well as i havent yet started a thread for my VR.. I bought the car with a lumpy idle which I still need to cure. Hoping it's MAF related as i bought a replacement. Currently the cars sat outside the house as I changed the heater matrix and then found the direction box is stuck on cold. Took the dash out for a second time and need to source a replacement box. I've not been actively looking but should really get round to it!

I reckon they're BBS RG's. Common in 15/16" but 17"s are very rare. Can be forged or mag. Here's the only link i could find to prove a 17" set" http://orange_auction-shop.weloveshopping.com/shop/showproduct.php?shopid=217594&pid=16066737&productid=s019

GSF are great and generally good quality. i would always go for the expensive option on most things for a rado, especially ones i dont want to do again. for a 'normal' car, ie the mrs has a 1.0 arosa, id buy cheaper disks/pads etc.

thanks for the heads up! its possible to join online, just follow the links on the site. not easy though! cheers again -
halfords are very expensive at retail price. at trade price they're comparible to gsf etc. if i need bulbs or wipers they're loads closer for me than gsf so i go there. if i needed discs/pads/filters i'd make the journey. in other news i need a new trade card... mine split in three being used as a makeshift ice scraper the other night. perhaps i'll treat myself to a real one when i go in

the vw badge is sunk into the rear panel so wont sit flush with just the tabs removed. the corrado badge will be fine. the only way will be to have another panel sunk back in, but that'll involved welding etc so will be very difficult to get perfect. other option is to look at any other vw you can think of to see if they did a similar badge not sunk, but i cant think of any :(

bristolbaron replied to Riley's topic in General Car Chat
[stalker]i just googled him, theres only 1 dyfrig walters on 192.com so possible the other links are him - linkedin etc.. worth a try if you're that interested! have a look at the friends reunited link, theres a photo if you remember what he looks like![/stalker] -
did you try fitting the whole mirror or just the small metal piece? Best bet is to glue on the small piece the mirror clips in to. Leave it for a day to dry and then fit the mirror.
