  1. So anyone that's followed my ridiculous Corrado path will have seen that my R32 Corrado has moved waaay up north and is now rehomed in Scotland with clumpy1 The R32 was awesome, but throughout pretty much my whole ownership of the car I was constantly worried about it. I don't have a garage at home and wouldn't leave it on the road so it lived at a rented garage a couple of miles away. I made the decision that once I'd 'finished' the car, I'd put it up for sale and buy a fairly cheap VR6 that I could leave outside and not be too bothered if it got scratched, dented, whatever. James got in touch and offered up his car as PX, my initial reaction was that it was again too modified for me to leave at home and it probably wouldn't work for me, but after chatting for a while a plan fell in place and we met and exchanged cars. With 400 miles between us, there was a lot riding on photographs, descriptions and honesty and James is a man of his word. After four hours of car chat and putting the world to rights I was driving back from our badly lit carpark meeting place in a BBM G60! Here's a run down of spec: Engine: 2000cc VW long block new as of late 2002 from TSR Motorsport. 8v pack'C' big valve gas flowed cylinder head new as of late 2002 from TSR Motorsport. 146355 genuine car miles. 22579 genuine engine miles since engine change. Engine changed at 123776 car miles. Schrick 285 cam and Piper vernier pulley. Bahn Brenner twin screw compressor. Bahn Brenner silencer kit. Bahn Brenner rigid intercooler piping. Custom front mounted oil cooler. Grey injectors. Jabba sport induction kit. TSR stainless steel 4-1 sports exhaust manifold. Powerflow full stainless steel exhaust system and custom back box. Japspeed decat. AVO Coilovers Exterior: Late exterior, bonnet, wings etc TSW 17" Venom alloy wheels Interior: Full black leather VDO twin gauge pod: Boost/Battery G60 Leather 3 spoke steering wheel Ice: Sony Xplod full sound system with 750W amp and twin subwoofers boxed in the boot. Subs are enclosed in a custom sub box against the back seats. I was more than happy with the engine work done, the previous father/son team have done a cracking job using the right components to build a strong, reliable engine. Their weakness though was more than obvious by a lot of their choices: Styling! :cuckoo: Luckily, I've done this enough times by now to work out that pretty much everything bad about the car can be easily swapped back and after only 10 days of ownership i'm nearly there! The Venom's should be off by the end of the week and the car should be a cracking all rounder. I'm not taking everything completely back to standard and the temptation is still there to play with things like flushed front and rear bumpers as they need paint anyway, but that will be a winter project if I take it that far. So some pics! There's plenty more to come, especially once the wheels are swapped for 17" BBS RX's which are being collected from refurb tomorrow. For now, just another thank you to James and the photos. Cheers Baz Swap over day: Interior before: Interior now: Front now: Rear now:

  4. looks good, can we have pics of the GTT as well though please!!
  5. that would be great. i managed to pick one up today from a mate so there's something on it, but its basically split in three  looking forward to pics, let me know price too. cheers baz
  6. ah that sucks :( did you get your ticket through? found my application in the footwell of the corrado this morning  im gonna post it in a bit, but dont reckon itll get there in time for them to send me a ticket!
  7. looking good bud. im looking forward to seeing it with the fogs/indi's sorted.. wouldnt do them orange imo though, although smoked or orange side repeaters would be another improvement imo. theres a few colours which really need the bumpstrips removed, but lighter colours look good with or without. i reckon it'll look cracking once youve sorted bodywork and coilovers!
  8. best off finding a breaker bud, should be an easy enough part to get hold of. im speaking with a mate this week about his as he's going to be breaking it, will check the arches when i go and price everything for him.
  9. all normal except this one "Im just leaving this feedback and then im off to bed. good night. zzzzzzzz A+"
  10. What a show! Awesome day out, really glad I went. Could really do with improving food and toilets but cars and catching up with old friends made it all worthwhile.
  11. i was genuine in suggesting office seats! if you were local to me id snap them up for that purpose!
  12. im now defo not working but still dont know if i can be bothered with a 300 mile round trip! if i wake up early ill do it, but i could really do with some sleeps
  13. well done on the brake lines! good to see another option to goodridge. tempted as i have a set of mk4 rears sat at home, but have no need for them just yet.
  14. sorry for lack of updates on this.. to be honest we're nowhere near the numbers we'd need to achieve to make these work at the right price. behind the scenes id still been working on finding a cup section the right size and making a mould would be the only way. but with a mould cost of £300 on top of everything else its gonna get too pricey. had the other guy not been selling them it could've worked, but the numbers just arnt there. maybe one day i'll look into it again, but i dont have the funds to pre purchase about 40 more to make the figures work. sorry.
  15. they are not corrado seats. would make good office chairs though!
  16. spotted this the other day and thought it was an absolute steal until i saw the engine cover. defo a 2.8 sadly. still a nice car with a nice spec but nowhere near on the power!
  17. indeed! If theyre £300 im calling first dibs if they're £3000 im calling edition38
  18. understandable bud, was only going to be a matter of time anyway with the baby/house/ultima stuff happening. perhaps this is one of those times where someone really wont be back?!
  19. i was a defo as i haven't actually been to any shows this year. may be called in for work though so now unsure. i was torn between e38 and players for this year and chose players as i like seeing non vag cars too, however im defo getting old too if im finding additional work money more important
