  1. You wouldnt be chuckling about your name change if I was a mod. Humph.
  2. I am looking for some advice from someone that knows about the inner workings of the internets. My stepfather has a very badly designed website and has zero interest or time for updating it. My wife uses a Weebly site, which is basic, but free to use and very easy to update. I've shown him how he could use this instead and he's happy to transfer over. Now the first thing I'm going to hear is 'a proper website is money well spent' etc but for him it really isn't. All he needs is a couple of pages and the ability to change them if he needs to. I'm happy setting the page up for him, but have no idea how I change his domain/host/webpage over from the current host [magento] to Weebly. If anyone knows how to do this I can crack on with it for him. Many thanks Baz :geek:
  3. wowzers.. that was lucky. although sad to see the red one with the flames running underneath is a cracking photo! must remember to put one in mine, it does seem crazy not to.
  4. For the saving you'd make I really wouldnt bother. Fill your case with us spec parts, make thousands and buy tyres with the profit!
  5. do it up, keep it and drive it/enjoy it when you can or sell it. dont garage it, it's not worth it.
  6. Well i'm very against spending that sort of money on fake splits so mam's are out of the window for me straight away. Having said that 18's are going to be horrible! 3sdm are indeed looking at a 16" version so that's my vote. In the meantime *shameless plug* i'd love to see these go onto a Corrado.. 5 Spokes You're already running adaptors and want 17's, perfect. I've just received a spare wheel to replace the scratched one too so no refurb needed. Then when the 16's come out go for them!! :)
  7. such a shame they're not p zero nero tread pattern. everyone knows this is the best pattern in the world. ever. fact.
  8. Hmm.. not that it's really work arguing about, but your first post never mentioned collection only and you never let me know that was the case. I then never heard anything back about any of it. Nevermind.
  9. can you get me some pics? It's more than I would consider a set of Mim's to be worth, but if they're tidy tidy and with decent tyres I could be persuaded. If you can let me know the tyre size/tread/make too that would be great. I'm thinking of going to retro rides show tomorrow at Prescott, so could be up your way..
  10. hadn't noticed that.. I was trying to buy a splitter from the OP too, but gave up after not being answered as to how much it would cost!
  11. it looks outdated already and its only two years old  it looks more like a new version of the mk1 seat leon than a corrado, i dont really see a rado influence in it at all.
  12. Could do bud, I guess they're the multispokes like this: If they are and they're tidy as described, I'd be looking at wheels plus £150. Cheers, Baz
  13. I've got nothing against someone offering up a low price for me to consider, but what really grinds my gears is 'what's your best price' MY best price is the full price, what's YOUR best price is my standard response.
  14. You have a normal battery in the boot? And it's unboxed? :shocked!:
  15. It all depends what you've been offered that price against, what discount you've been offered so far on the new car and what discount you've been offered with no PX. It's probably a fairish value, but realistically you're probably getting £500 discount and free tax anyway and then getting £500 for the Rado which of course you could better.
  16. I've has some very good transactions from great buyers on E38. However, I've almost always had to deal with 4 or 5 of the following conversation: "Would you take X amount" "Yes" No further contact. There's a hell of a lot of kids/dreamers who will ask for something, but don't actually have the money when it comes to it. Why ask if someone will accept a price if you have no intention of paying it. Nevermind.
  17. its probably not wrapped.. jom offered a 3 slat carbon effect grille, my money's on one of those.
  18. I could be interested in anything! I just bought a set of 4x100 RX's and I don't own a four stud car. I also bought a set of 19" Porsche cayennes and don't own anything 19"s would fit on! try me!
  19. I live with a very very understanding wife  it's not too bad here at the moment, there are only 4 sets of wheels on the decking area and two spare sets in the garage. Andy that's still a pretty sizable list. Subcool, that list is tiny but the 301's make it all worthwhile! I have a set in my garage, but they're not technically mine :(
  20. So I hadn't realised until someone posted on another thread that I've had lots of sets of wheels! I've just racked my brains for wheels I've bought and sold in the past and I guess the list is fairly long! This is since starting Corrado ownership in 2004. 32 sets from memory in 7.5-8 years is only 4 sets a year.. In size, but not date order: 15” Porsche teledials 15” BBS RZ 15” BBS RZ 15” Sebrings 15” Sebrings 15” Westwoods 15” 4 stud Solitudes 16” BBS RX 16” Borbet A’s 16” Porsche D90s 16” Porsche Cups 16” Porsche 928s 17” BBS Reps 17” Borbet A’s 17” OZ Futura 17” kahn 5 spokes 17” Porsche Cup 3 17” Porsche Twists 17” Porsche Cayennes 17” Porsche Cayennes - Cream 17” Porsche Cayennes 17” Porsche Carrera 4’s 17” Porsche Targa Splits 17” Rotiform BLQ 17” BBS RK 17” BBS RX 18” BBS RK 18” Porsche Cayennes 18” Porsche BBS Splits 18” Audi RS Reps 18” Audi Nuvolari 19” Porsche Cayennes Let's see what you've owned! Baz
  21. Ahh.. I do remember seeing these in tour build thread now. How long did they take roughly? Did you pay upfront or on collection? I was looking at dropping some up in the next few days, but want to check with them how set they are with collection dates. If I have to go on a certain day it may not be practical. I wish there was someone local offering these prices!!
  22. did you ever get your wheels back andy? im looking at taking a few sets up there, just wondered about timescales etc. im struggling to find someone decent in bristol now for less than £150 which is silly to me for coating.
  23. Madness. although the be fair it's really not the best place to live for car selling! I'm sure the first person would buy it, it's just convincing someone to get up there.
