  1. THE FORUM LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER NOW!
  2. do you know if the kit will fit a 2012 Veyron? If so i'll have one for my new car.
  3. nope, darren or jmr. i think jabbas rep is better now, but would still go with the above. in terms of chip, you could contact dg autotech and see if they're still offering theirs. was apparently very good. if youre local to littlehampton though pop in and see the others.
  4. darren can be contacted on Tel: 01903 733 220 I havent spoken with him for a while and he's now doing range rover stuff. He's still in the same unit though so could well do a charger. Other option is JMR - 01903 718684
  5. You should get about £100 for them really if they're in decent condition. Personally if you want it to look more standard then buy the 5.25 versions of what you have or get the next model up. You can custom make 6.5 pods, but not that easy or oem looking.. check this link. http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9929 hth baz
  6. its a replica, probably made by trimsport. they did lots of different badges in other colours. must admit i'd never seen a silver one, but i wouldnt be surprised if they did it. if you provide me with an invoice from vw and a stamped part no on the badge i will eat my hat. [disclaimer - my hat is made of bacon. i will eat it anyway]
  7. None! It's not real.. Might be worth something to someone but prob better painting it red..
  8. Nope, Wullies fault for leaving us unattended.
  9. Welcome! Best advise I could offer is get all the basics sorted before changing wheels/suspension etc. As you've already found out there can be a few surprises! No point blowing funds on air and then realising theres rust or engine issues to sort! Look forward to the updates. Baz
  10. Instagram shot from today's meet. bad weather again! In other news, I've been gathering parts to convert to OEM ECU. The car's definitely going up for sale now, my thinking is someone's going to say they love the car but don't get/like/understand standalone management so I'll have the option of offering either. Nearly everything else is now 100%, ready for it to go, I finally tracked down a sunroof switch and have stainless wing bolts on order with Daves16v Within a week or two everything should be ready to start taking advert photos. I got a clear motorway run today after the meet and god i'll miss it, this car is awesome!
  11. thats big money considering you'll never find a replacement inner barrel. alright, it will probably straighten, but thats E38 strong money! what are you hoping for at £800? wheels/tyres/adaptors as a full package would always have been a struggle. keep the money to one side and bide your time. either those, or something else very nice will come up in budget if you're patient.
  12. doesnt look familar or anywhere near a show winner in current spec  could be good with a bit of love though and defo worth saving! good find.
  13. I said that to the wife earlier! So proud of Ennis, amazing win. And what phelps has achieved, greatest Olympian we'll see in our lifetime.
  14. No probs bud, I'd love to offer more but have so much else going on! Glws.
  15. I'd offer £60 posted if you don't get better.
  16. i think they're a terrible wheel. i dont think they wouldnt work on a rado, but they're fugly.
  17. Ibiza accommodation is usually dirt cheap. Can get a week & flights from Bristol high season for £99-£150 normally (albeit a 18-30s dive) problem is costs of everything when you get there.. This year does seem insanely expensive though. We did a week in costa brava in June for good money, was looking at doing another week somewhere end aug, but may not be able to with current 'last minute' costs.
  18. So you always fly from the same airport or you can hire from others?
  19. I dont know if id want to be the one to say a 9.5 is doable or not, but mine fit at ET15&ET25.. In theory, a 9.5@ ET18 Wouldnt be any closer to the strut and would only stick out 4mm more than the pic above. Have a look on 'willtheyfit' and play with some offsets. You would still need to run a pretty big stretch though - 205/40 on a 9.5. In terms of how hard they are to get hold of, earlier in the year there were about 3-4 sets on Edition38. before that nothing, last summer about 3-4 sets. So yes, theres not many about, but if you're looking for long enough they do come up.
  20. yes its down to clearance. this pic: is a 9J ET15 after adapters. I also tried them as ET25 and they did just about fit, so in theory they come in by 10mm. Look at the above pic and imagine the wheel sticking out by another 15mm [extra inch less the 10mm they can come in]. It would be ridiculous. Even if you did that, you now have to stretch tyres enough to get them inside the wheel arch. That's gonna mean 205/40's on a 10" wheel. [the above is 195/40] I'm not saying that's not possible, but it's super stretch. So now you have 10" wheels sticking 2" out of the arch, on tyres designed for a 7" wheel. You're gonna have to cut the inner arch lip out if you want to lower the car at all, but its still gonna rub. So now you have to flare the arches to stop the rubbing. Once you've done all of that, you now have to get those wheels moving. your G60 now has the power of a 16v, not to mention the tram lining! Trust me, its not a good idea. :geek: ---------- Post added at 6:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:58 PM ---------- Search for fittipaldis too, virtually the same wheel. These could just about work with 15 or 20mm adaptors. http://www.ebay.de/itm/17-OZ-Racing-Fittipaldi-dreiteilig-MB-VW-5x112-8-9-/360099770489
  21. Try onthebeach I used them earlier in the year for a cheapo break..
