  1. cracking day and the mrs didn't complain once  wouldve like to have seen more cars on track, but not surprising considering the weather. nice to meet a few from here today too. Baz
  2. should get in free by then too.. head in the paddock entrance.
  3. you will need to fit a second hand one. they are the same regardless of age. you will need to remove the bumper to fit. it should be an easy part to get hold of. I have a spare one, but one of the tow covers is missing. welcome to the forum!
  4. Why don't people opt for having a custom manifold made? From a simpletons point of view this seems logical, but i'd be interested in knowing the disadvantages?
  5. looking forward to this. aiming to arrive for 10ish so will see you all there. fingers crossed we don't get much of that stuff that starts with an R!
  6. Cheers guys, I hate pricing stuff! Out of interest, what adjustments would need to be made for this to work with a mk5 engine?
  7. Can I have a postage update please?
  8. depends if you already have points. i dont have any so would probably just take them.. im not very good in a classroom environment :)
  9. cool. well if you could both let me know that would be great. cheers baz
  10. its just the lever section i need, that sticks out through the cowling. I have the actual cowling fitted now, but can hardly get to the lever!
  11. I'm going to be fitting OEM management to my car so will have a full DTA set up available. If you can locate an engine, this will give you everything else you need to get it running in a corrado. Included: DTA S60 Pro ECU - mapped for a mk4 engine Full wiring loom to run from R32 engine to Corrado fusebox VR6 throttle body and adaptor plate Coilpack & plugs to suit I have no idea how to price this as it's a niche set up! The cheapest you can get a new ECU alone is £795, that would then need mapping and all the other parts too. I'm going to say £800 for everything and await fishwick's response of too cheap or too expensive! Please note: This is still on the car and will require a deposit for me to remove it all. I can have it all done within a week of a deposit.
  12. although i totally agree with kev that its not actually as bad an idea as it seems, i would still expect you to have a decent understanding of what you're letting yourself in for and the skill to be able to do it. its not just take out one engine drop another one in.. finding a vr6 breaker will make life much easier.
  13. Yeah it's just the switch I need but yours looks grey. The beige is very beige..
  14. i can try and fill one with special milk for you? atomizer spray would make it like a mouth freshener?
  15. So this weekend is Castle Combe VW day, I've been aching to get a couple of bits sorted on the car since the Pistonheads meet but poor weather has stopped play. Yesterday I managed to get a doorcard off and replace the window runners. Before I got to do the other side rain started again! Today I picked up the car, went and collected some new floor mats from TPS, got home and it's raining again! Dammit. Engine bay pics to follow soon.. I'm hoping to take some decent photos over the weekend.
  16. to be honest, with the exception of the girl going onto your property theres not a lot you can do or say. i dont keep my car at home for the same reasons. i rent a garage in the knowledge it will be away from everyone! annoyingly, i have to bring the car home to work on, as there are kids that live locally to the garage that use the area for a kickabout. i just look at is as being my problem. kids are kids, i've hit hundred of balls at hundreds of cars in my first however many years of life. it's not worth causing tension with neightbours unless they are causing deliberate damage. ask the kids nicely, but if they dont listen to you theyre probably just more wrapped up in thier game.
  17. just dug them out and they are sonars in chrome. they've been in the box since i bought them from here last year, this is the second set i havent got round to fitting! they've been used so i guess wouldve been converted. i beileve i paid £100 plus postage for them, so £110 in total. can get them couriered if you want them. cheers baz
  18. haha! is the watch even sold now? seems to be a chat thread!
