1. From that photo and what you've said alone the car will need a full service, Tax, MOT and the front bumper painted. Plus whatever else to get through the MOT and whatever it needed before it was sat up for so long. Normally there's a reason a car gets left standing. Personally I would be hesitant paying a grand for it as it sits if you're doing it for profit. If he's willing to let you take it for MOT at your expense before you talk about money, then it could become interesting. Where are you based?
2. unless you french the bumper itll look terrible, even if you do it still wont look great. save yourself the hassle.
3. I was quoted £800 as a cash job to spray my brothers mk2, the previous owner of my corrado paid £7500 to have it done. So somewhere inbetween! Find a couple of places and phone them for quotes. Even knowing whether you have to budget for 2k or 3k is significant!
4. I'm not prepared to risk my kids inheritance on these. I'm out.
5. Keep it, but don't start pulling things apart until you can put them back together. Collect stuff you need and do a job at a time not everything at once. Then if you want/ need to sell at a later date you don't have a garage and shed with bits of car everywhere you have something you could tax and drive if you wanted. Trust me!
6. What does your friend want out of the car? If he wants a mint, low mileage storm then he's going to be pretty stuck for options. If the guy wont budge from 10k then there's not much he can do! If he wants a mint standardish VR6 and has that kind of money there's a couple of people he could wave money at and hope for the best. If he wants an R32 get him to give me a call
7. x4 BBS RX2's 17" 7.5 et37 4x100 one centre cap missing wheels will need a refurb. £100 ill take these please, where are you based?
8. me neither.. edition needs it, for sale sections here are slow enough you dont tend to miss anything.
9. Odd to have both shows on the same weekend as both lean more to aircooled.. Both have advantages though. BVF's a cool show.
10. im not too keen on the seats, but they do have the advantage of a similar shape at the top of the seat to the standard rears so should look pretty good together. However I just spotted you've stripped the interior so i guess thats not even relevant :)
11. possibly too late to do the same now, but i entered the show and shine online and they sent me a pass today, but also a wristband for free entry! next year rather than a clubstand i'd recommend all applying for the show and shine and parking together for free  see you there!
12. I think its very healthy to be able to debate these things and don't think it has at all hindered sale. I don't believe it's the high price which has hindered the sale, it's the fact the market is very limited. I disagree that a limited market means price drops though, especially with the likes of Recaros. They will wear at just as high a rate as Corrados, and there will be less available in the future, especially cloth. Good luck with the sale and with conversation bumping the thread I'm sure it'll go to the right home soon.
13. Welcome to the forum! Both questions can be answered using the search, but im here now so here goes: The easiest/cheapest option is to cut away all of the perished parts, leaving a slimmer trim. There is no hole or anything to the car, so you don't have to worry about leaving anything exposed. replacement trim is discontinued, however I believe they may either now be available or be coming soon from classic parts. Lock barrels: mk2 items should fit, passat mk3 defo will fit. Again, re-tumbling your current locks is the better and very cheap option.
14. £500 drop in screen price since the pics were taken, probably been in stock a while so could be up for a deal on it too..
15. hit me with a price posted for the rears..
16. seems like such a shame to sell when things are going well, but i understand recent house move etc can put strain on.. no doubt everyone will be telling you you're crazy to get rid of it, but i doubt you'd be doing it unless its the right thing for you. sell both, buy a standard rado as a daily.. its the way forward!
17. My wife has a small business making greeting cards and jewellery, she said she was short of stock and asked if I'd help her this afternoon. I fancied doing something with car silhouettes so knocked up a range with some classics. Once I'd done the obvious choices I decided I had to do a Corrado! She was really happy with the styles and has decided to donate the total purchase price of each card to her chosen charity - Crohns & Colitis UK You can view the full range on her website - Cross My Palm Designs Here's the Corrado!: Cheers Baz
18. i've got a pair with no barrels at all..
19. Ah, where was the rolling road bud? Wouldve loved to have brought mine along!
20. What happened to not cheating on your mrs?! the whole point of one night stands is to do them at their houses! Never take a ten to two'er home!!!
21. Carline CM6 /Dynatech's. MAM MT1 are a fake split version..
22. I sent a message earlier about the wheels and he's replied saying he'll get pics when he gets the car back. I'd imagine it's with an insurance company somewhere at the moment and he's pinched a pic till it comes back. I let him know about this thread too :)
