  1. Forum stag! Can we all go and watch the Berg Cup please? It'd be a great excuse, I've been trying to go for ages!
  2. Thanks Kev, nice to have seal of approval from an R32 veteran! I hate having to do money related stuff and working out what's fair is a challenge between being reasonable and also not feeling sick inside. :pale: I can safely say with the paperwork I have for the car though there is no way you could get anywhere close for the money!
  3. make sure you meet somewhere quiet! i arranged to meet a random in a packed pub and was checking out every girl up close to work out if i recognised her! much easier to get a visual outside somewhere so you can still make a quick getaway if you need to..
  4. Hero! cheers.. I could bring it up to you and you'd get a drive too. :thumbleft: I'd much rather someone got a second opinion before coming down.
  5. The simple answer to price is it's all going to depend on final spec with wheels etc but £8kish to drive it away with everything. I'm wondering whether to take the wheels/stereo stuff with me for the next one so I can lower the price. I understand it's a big ask of someone to pay that kind of money but with the spec of the car I'm hoping a potential buyer will see the value. In terms of what it's like now - well it's almost perfect. There are [and I'm sure always will be] the last couple of things I'd like to do, but I'm happy to show it now as being complete.. and my standards are ridiculous! :bonk: When it comes to actually advertising/selling, I was going to suggest Cazza casts his eye over it for an independent view before others travel if he's happy to.. he has had a brief look, but as a moderator he might have a decent input for prospective buyers.
  6. better get cracking then! It's defo gonna have to go, it's just a case of putting it off as long as possible
  7. £1000-£1500 depending on condition and tyres. Might find it a slow sale though due to so many bloody fakes :(
  8. I rent a garage from a friend to store mine.. Really though if it's going to go long periods without being used if be tempted to say sell it. £50 per month over a couple of years is half the value of the car..
  9. Theres a chance this is going to have to go soon :( Things are looking pretty poor work wise and this will be a luxury I can't afford. If anyone has very deep pockets and looking for a great car then nows the time to start thinking.. I'm more than open to talk about a px - I will not be left Radoless!
  10. Boring answer I'm afraid, but if you haven't even had a single conversation with any of them about it neighbour/son/gf you're gonna look like a bit of an ass ranting at her. Go round and talk to the son, tell him to ask his gf to put them somewhere else. If I were her and you just came round and shouted I'd be saving all my fag butts for your garden.. And if that doesn't work then tie her up and burn her to death with cigarettes.
  11. local pikey offered my mates garage £30-40 for genuine cats, general scrap for aftermarket. it is platinum used inside them, aftermarket cats have such a small amount they're basically worthless. I've taken cars to Sims in Bristol, they have a place in Sheffield which list Cats in their metals wanted section. personally i'd go down there with it and see what they say; if the fuel justifies the drive! http://uk.simsmm.com/aston
  12. No problem - its not an ideal solution as all four lights are the same size, but could be an option if you're stuck. From that link above I'd love to see if you could make your own though! Have you seen this? Was posted on the forum a while back and would be a great addition.. I'm happy to take your steering wheel off you as a thankyou if you buy it  Ebay link Also, PM Corozin on here. Member ProfileHe has a Nothelle VR6 and insane Rado knowledge, so could probably bore you with anything you never wanted to know about anything! :geek:
  13. that looks terrible! poor thing.. :) cracking base though, can defo see the reasons for buying. if you do manage to find a front end for it, this could be a really nice car.
  14. adrian flux were cheapest by far for me..
  15. Hmm.. I've never seen this set up for sale before. I don't even know if nothelle launched it for general sale? http://forums.kilometermagazine.com/showthread.php?5029339-Nothelle-grill The mk2 version is very home made, so its possible this would've been too.. perhaps you could try and make something up yourself? other option could be the strictly foreign twin lights, which do come up from time to time in america.. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5330872
  16. Not quite the same thing, but another forum i use has members who do giveaways. If you've got something you don't need you put it up for free, people add their names to a list and you use an online number picker to pull out a winner. You can specify postage must be covered, or in this example a set forum donation by the winner etc. I like the general idea though, I think maybe PM'ing 'sealed bids' would be logistically an easier way of doing it.
  17. it all depends on what you want to do to sort it.. comps still look good on a 205/40 and will bit a bit more forgiving for it, without causing any extra scrubbing etc. a better option would be to drop down to 16's on 205/45's and raise the car 10-15mm - but i can understand why you wouldnt want to. V1's will still be part of the cause though, mine are a lot firmer than the weitecs i've had on a couple of other rados.
  18. thats a momo jet... its got the funny centre ring.
  19. The bans been lifted then? Good to have you back bud x
  20. A* TXM - Parked on driveway, Minard Rd Catford.
  21. To be honest, if you've already got a decent alarm and always keep the glovebox open that's about as much as you can do in terms of whether someone's going to break-in in the first place. I defo think a hidden kill switch is a good idea though. Yes, there might then be damage, but at least the cars not gone anywhere. The other option is to leave your car in a garage away from home, drive a polo as a daily and then never drive the rado, but from experience it's rubbish!
  22. This came up the other day and there's a guilty pleasure about it for me too.. would have to be running VR turbs with silly power though. I remember TBA from back in the day, I think JT-G60 who nearly bought my G60 had it at one point. It was a fairly well together car back then. Personally Worthersee a few years back was a very big turning point for me in terms of these kind of threads about other peoples cars. There were some serious, serious monstrosities out there, but you got to love them for what they are and the effort owners have put in. I've had a very much live and let live attitude since then. If someone has created a car for themselves, its up to a buyer to decide if they like it or not. I'm happy with my car, but am aware there are others that don't like it. They're welcome to let me know.. if they can catch up to tell me! :fastestsmiley:
  23. hehe.. I dont know if i'm more impressed with love for the cupholder or the Natch! Free can with every purchase!? :drinking:
  24. So here's current state of play.. My original cupholder was used as a mould, for a plaster sample to be made up. From that they've managed to make a rough first draft. I went and collected that and I'm impressed, but not 100% happy. It does hold a can, but it wont drop quite to the base and the first ridge is slightly bigger, so a little bit rattly. This is because I used guttering hose, not an actual cupholder as the original! My options are to try and find another cup section, or to have one made in resin, but that could be big bucks. [£200-£300.] Not a problem if i can sell a hundred, but too expensive for the numbers we're at currently. I'm also struggling to find a supplier for 60mm rubber/foam circles for the bottoms of the cups. At the moment they're £1 each, or handcut. I'm pleased with the leather look finish though - much better than the other supplier! Excuse the Natch can, only cans in the house!
