  1. Chris, they are the nuts, I like them even better than the more expensive ZW1's. :-P The tyres perfect too. I kept these pics as I liked them so much.
  2. Err I dont think there is a 112 Audi conversion??
  3. Shoulda gone to Specsavers. :-P The Golf is a Great Car. I thinks its a better choice over the Mini. The Mini might be the fad car of the moment but the driving position is flawed and the value outside of depreciation is poor.
  4. Paul, I rang you at least 3 times when I needed some help, with my conversion. Without that help I would have been in the toilet and was emotionally at times. Sometimes sh1t happens and you wonder why. You want the earth to open up and swallow you up. Take a few days off and come back to it. Taking stock just seems to help with understanding whats wrong and finding ways of sorting things. We are all here to help too.
  5. White often gets a rough ride, I like it, IMHO it really suits the Corrado. This is nice :-P , I really like the Mk 3 side skirts and wheels. Not fond of the Mr Panda bonnet though.
  6. Please dont take this the wrong way but have you thought about trying a different garage?
  7. Thats the bottom line Furki, imagine some ass screwing it up for £375.00
  8. Poped into a Merc dealer the other day with a mate to look at an A class for his missus. Never thought I'd say it but a four door saloon was the best car there. That new CLS is gorgeous!!
  9. Take the new new Boxster out for a spin. The old 2.5 was good, the 3.2S was a great improvement. I test drove a 2.7 3 months ago and placed my order on the spot. I'm going from a 2002 3.2S to a new 2.7. Arrives in 4 weeks. With Porsche watch out for beyond shite dealers, and a crap uncaring co. Its all image now.
  10. Unlucky pal. Hope you get yourself sorted asap.
  11. Sounds like it could be an air lock when you replaced the coolant. Its supposedly a knack to get it right.
  12. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1138497 Mucho info on this vortex link.
  13. £60 + VAT at Euro Car parts. One available here.
  14. Wel considering this bunch of feckers have poured more money down the toilet than any other Govt in living memory; Burning them gets my Vote - When they cant hide behind stealth taxes, they might have to tell the truth.
  15. Jim, the Golf VR6 highline looks like a lovely car and there's one advertised on the forum with 51K miles. Not sure about the price at 5,800 as I dont know what these go for normally.
  16. An enormous amount of respect to you sir! Not usually a lover of Jap cars, but that looks really nice. Are they league Wheels?
  17. It should be 10% for CCGB members on presentation of your card.
  18. Just so that you know. The AC pipes came from Diavia pre-made and they were too long. That is why it is so frickin tight in there. I have my old pipes undone at the moment and will be shortening them to get a nice fit. I will also post the best routing for them. I think they used the same pipes for Passat & Golf hence a universal approach. So Fla it is unlikely that anyone has a nice bay unless the fitter went that extra mile.
  19. Where abouts are you? I ahve AC on my car and am working on sorting it.
  20. Ibiza Cupra's are nice, alot of car for the money: Both low miles. one with 39k and V reg for 2900??? link 1 link 2 Links fixed - use the "link" button under "Post Reply" next time! --Andi

    rover

Rover was screwed from the moment BMW dumped it off on Pheonix, it was business genius dropping a pup onto some VC backed guys with the crown jewels (Land Rover & Mini) stripped out. £10 for the company and £500m in working capital sounds like a good deal, until you saw the cash burn. BMW made a big mistake buying Rover and got out before it seriously hurt them. It turned into a great deal if you look at the success of the Mini. Without serious money and risky return the company never had the financial clout to both improve infrastructure and develop new cars. The Citi Rover was an example of how desperate things were, beyond sheeeee-ite. Can we sell a few units and sod the consequences please? Some would say that in any eventuality there is over capacity and the industry needed a casualty. I really hope I'm wrong, there are alot of famillies who's lives are going to be turned upside down as a result of this, although at the rate of knotts Gordon Brown is burning cash there are plenty of Pubic Sector Jobs to go round. Bottom line is that its goodbye to Birmingham, it would be cheaper to build a new plant than put money into Longbridge. A Govt bailout only serves to prolong the inevitable. As for the brand it has value, look at the rebirth of Skoda. The future depends on the value of the brand. VW can sell a golf badged as: VW, SEAT, Skoda or Audi. GM Can sell a platform in the UK as Vauxhall or Saab. Fraud have Volvo, Mazda and Land Rover. My money is on VW, they know the most about badge engineering. :-P
  22. Best to phone VAG with the chassis numbers and see what they come up with.
  23. Thats the only real downfall, they handle a dream are exceptionally chuckable and cost sod all to run. I always thought they were a great car and very underrated. :-P If only VW had given the car decent brakes and a lower price. Prices reflect how desperate the seller is to get shot of the car. Enjoy.......
