Guys Fitted my Sony headunit today in the VR. It works fine on ignition positions '0' and '1' but on '2' (the last one) and when you start the car it goes off. Car still starts perfectly everytime. Any ideas? Ive done a search but couldnt quite find the same issue. Cheers

Having owned 2 16v's amnd 2 VR6's, i have to agree with these comments especially... the noise, speed, feeling more grown up/special, easier to drive etc. The VR6 is in a different league and once you've had one you won't go back...i didn't! However the biggest thing I have noticed is the cost of running a VR compared to a 16v, there is a noticeable difference...but i guess some of that depends on whether the 16v/VR in question are good examples or dogs. Take your time finding and buying a sound car and youll love it! Good luck! :D

Thanks David. I guess the only place the guides are still available are dealers?

Chaps Quick question. For my sins I am now on my 4th C, and with every one either one or both of my bumper/s dont line up exactly (Usually they are coming away slightly by the wheels). Probably due to scraping on speedbumps or incorrect fitting in a past life. This is true for my current one, I wanna remove and re-fit the correctly, ive done a search on how to remove and re-fit them which i great but... Do i need to replace brackets/bolts or the like to get a perfect fit as they may have been damaged/broken? Cheers

I've driven one at a BMW event. Have to say overall i loved it. Fast, great driving position, heavy (in a good way) steering and slick gearbox. I personally even like the looks. Things that let it down were its still a heavy car for its size, and despite being very impressive, the engine could do with being a lttle more vocal. oh and the price :( Cheers

CAP average trade value on a 94 M VR6 with 150k is £690. Clean condition is £910. Retail price £2295. Hope this helps.

Just an update. Still struggled using the jump lead. I have cleaned up the earth points and replaced the battery (as this was old) and all seems well...for now! Any change I will post up. Cheers

K Plate Blackberry (I think) VR6 outside the hanger right next to Prestwold Hall driving centre track... Dont have any more details as I drove past it in a Gallardo at considerable speed!! :D

Henny The earth strap is aliitle green etc. Where is the best place for a replacement? Cheers

Thanks chaps Would these really cause the car to struggle in the first time in the morning but work ok at all other times? Excuse the stupid question, im not very mechanically minded  Cheers

Guys I've done a search but its bit of a weird one. Over the last few weeks my VR6 has become increasingly difficult to start in the mornings. Once its starts everything runs fine, and strangely it starts perfectly and fist time for the rest of the day. It's almost like the battery is flat (the dash indicator lights, clock, mfa all flash when you try and start it) as it doesnt turn over but but you keep turning the key and eventually it turns over and starts, this can take up to a minute...it gets longer each morning. But the fact it does always start suggests the battery could be ok?? My fuel pump is a little noisey but had it checked and works fine, i can hear the relay clicking when i try and start it in the morn. Also I had an alarm fitted a couple months ago so could this be slowly draining the battery overnight?? Any thoughts or anything else it could be as im worried the next morning ill be stranded?! Bought a new battery anyway yesterday as the current one appears to be a good few years old and will fit this later. Cheers and thanks in advance. Pete

No worries, sounds possible if it was a knackered or incorrect bulb, i had to change both to get mine sorted.

Andy viewtopic.php?f=19&t=25670 I had a similar problem, strangely changing the bulbs worked, see link. Cheers

Jim I was in a similar position to you recently. I'm 27, 9 years NCB, no points etc, parked on drive, owned Corrados before, etc etc , i phoned all the usual places and the best quote I got was with Chris Knott, which was £540. Hope this helps. Cheers

Oh and I saw a modified red 16v (i think) parked on a drive way in Aldermaston last night, near the nuclear place. Looked lovely. :D

Thats not kerrinmay, but never seen that one in Portsmouth before. and your right about the Wharf...bloody nightmare getting in and out with mine....however the VR makes a lovely noise in the car park! :D

Guys I have done a search on this and all teh results are either rather old or not clear. I am after the rubber seal at the base of the areial on the roof. Where can I get one of these as a separate part? If you can? I have read ebay and VW are places to go but I am after some more recent info. Cheers

Had Cornelius at German Auto Engineering in Portsmouth check the car today. Fuel pump is ok, the noise is not loud enough to be a sign of a problem. Had the pressure checked and its all ok. Fuel filter and a fuel pipe was replaced and the car is now running much better. Thanks

Followed kerrinmay's green 16v out of Portsmouth on the M275 this morning.
