Maybe but it is usually 99% of the time the main amp power cable thats too close to the RCA or speaker cables, mine also does this too and i cant get rid of it, but if you saw the amount of wiring in mine and how unaccessable it is then you would understand why i leave it, mine i can hear it at lower volumes but when i turn it up the volume cancels it out, and as i only have 1 volume setting, LOUD, then im happy to leave it, otherwise it means taking the whole rear install out, rearranging the cables again, putting it all back together and it still not been right, done it that many times now i can uninstall and reinstall in 2 hours.

Well some nice gold bolts and do black centres, then its going to tie the whole colour scheme of the car together.
-
Just need to look in the right places
-
Definately not dodgy connection if your running an amp.

Most you wanna be paying is 1K for an engine with ECU etc, then depends if you go standard ECU or standalone, or Qpeng

This thread is nothing without pictures. Post up your favourite ham and cheese combo :D

Neil i think you need to stop working on your own car mate, everytime you do you hurt yourself or your car.

Iget asked for the certificate but not for the annual check but once it gets stolen then im sure they would ask. Cliffords are meant to be authorised dealer checked and stamped but apparently if you have a G4 clifford they never got round to making a stamp for it.

I SORN'd my car for good, let the masterplan commence.

Mine is reading 98K but actually has 8K more on it as it had new clocks @ 8K, not bad for 17 years old.

Check out Bally's, 9 all round with an et roughly the same as you want on rolled arches on early arches too, lowered as low as low can go in 16's. :D
-
Ah thats it, i thought they slid but as i say its been 5 years since i had some.
-
Dont the grills slide towards the rear, long time since i had some lol. Isnt the reason people always want new 1's is cos of prising them and snapping the tabs
-
No worries but still not got 1

It must be a bad earth then as my amp when 1st installed kept doing the same thing too, off little think then on. I may be wrong but it could be the brown wire on the cars original wiring not the head unit, there is lots brown wires in there, and they are earths, but off the top of my head i cant remember what wiring goes to the headunit. You should get 12v between the brown earth and either red or yellow power lead 1 with ignition on and the other permanent live.
-
Trips off the power or trips the fuse. I was trying to figure out the noise type and if it did it with engine speed you would know what i mean. Does sound like a bad earth then, just try a new earth wired in whilst the head unit is out just wired randomnly to a good known earth point to prove it right or wrong. Then if it is better just run a new earth all tidy, ideally you want straight onto metal not paint.
-
The red and yellow wires are correct swapped over, thats how mine is and as you say it holds its memory. If it was a really bad earth it would cause it to trip on and off too. Think Toad is on about a noise suppressor. Is it the usual whining noise you get when you have an amp (i know you dont) when you have the power cable running net to the RCA or speaker cables and goes higher pitched as the engine revs get higher?

You make it sound like a movie scene that only happens in cheesy American films, hot girl says nice car, check, did hot girl get in, no, you got it all wrong dude -
Looking at that list its the top 1 you want satin black just external will be fine, i would have thought hitting 1000c would mean your having major problems or have 1 big feck off turbo on there. There is also the white ceramic coating, seen tubular turbo exhaust manifolds done in this so that may be a hotter rating than the black coating, i dont know?
-
You have a mate for everything :D jammy git, shame it got scratched but least its fixed up.... Dont know what it is with your car pics but it always looks like a fake car lol, but the pic of you washing it looks like a normal pic and it looks like a car lol. Weird i know and i cant eplain it well but the "fake" pics always have the same lighting and the "real" has in my eyes better lighting.
