Very impressive for a practically standard car, i was managing 14.5 at the pod last year, more practice should see mid to low 13's hopefully for me.

Same here Rob, never have another owner, its me or the big VW yard in the sky, even though i am proper bored with it i can never let it go, would rather it sit in the garage doing nothing till the enthusiasm returns again, for me the only way that will happen is if i change it. I dont care what other people who do or dont like them, old or new its mine and i have it cos i like it end of. I will still end up in maybe an R32 or similar but i will always have this....

Take the door card off line up the pods and drill through the door card and the pod to screw into, just measure twice and cut once though to position right. Definately amp up if going the decent Focal etc component set.

I dont have a screw that i know of so somebody else must have removed it previously but like i say is really sturdy just hung there.

You 2 talking power numbers well 1 of you is talking lbft and the other is Nm so 2 very different things mine hits 460 Nm which equates to 340 lbft

Maybe a new ignition switch they are a common failure.

Its kind of hard to see on my early fusebox but it just hangs on 2 clips on the top but once on is pretty sturdy.

You still have Recaro's though and i for 1 prefer yours now as its no longer wearing the common Borbets or the common RS's :D and its no longer just a resprayed and polished rado its turning into a show winner. (if you lost the bra of course)

I know mate only pulling ya leg :D Anyway fair play for breaking the mould, controversey is a good thing. Not sorted yet and it wont be for a long time now, not really interested in driving it anymore, it entertains me just not enough so going to concentrate on geting it into the car i want, its more of a kill the time, go in the garage and do a bit more swearing and throwing spanners around.
