I'm going to leave the ISV in place for now but blanked off until i can get down to Vince and see what he can do,if no joy i will delete it. Here is the state of play with mine, lots of chopping and hacking ect....but its looking and fitting well. Just a bit peed off as my hoses for the pipework ore delayed as im wanting black !
-
I did laugh at myself afterwards that's why i posted it.. I've got Cooler today and it looks good for the money and just waiting on pipework now. But to another problem,i went to the hassle of fitting the ISV to my manifold by drilling a good size hole and mounting a elbow(and the rags! lol),all looks good but it don't work :| When you first start up it idles normal for 5-10 seconds then the ISV flutters and opens up so much that it drowns the engine with to much air. I've checked wiring and tried different ISV with no results. Do you think the short manifold is to blame as were the ISV had to open up to supply enough air for the long stock manifold as is might be to much for the SP? I'm out of ideas, and have adjusted my throttle stop and blanked ISV to have a normal idle and it idles fine, just wanted ISV for cold starting and stalling issues. any help....cos im out

They are Chris Hill's old ones ... -
No,as it needs to be vented unless on full throttle, you could fit a recirculation valve? it would have to be at least two to match the port size of the boost return. How do you know your leaking?

I've got a 63mm straight through pipe on my car with no probs, best thing ive done is to get some poly rubber mounts to keep movement to its minimum but the best results was to put a spot weld on each joint of the exhaust to stop any further movement as the clamps don't hold as well as you think. Hope that helps and Fle-bay is the best place for wrap and use your local car factors for long cable ties.

Had this week off,so been doing catch up jobs on the Raddo. Polishing, cleaning all day...phew ! its been worth it ! Went for a drive and I love the looks i get with the charger whistling away under the hood :norty: Its been gorgeous weather had to take a few pics ! 8) -
The SP is pricey but worth it in the long run.I doubt you will gain much with using that,it looks rather small and restrictive, but its the shame of it.. I would have to cover it up

Make sure your subframe bolts are tight as the wishbones can shift when you move forward and brake ect. sounds like you have a wheel bearing off, jack up all fours and give them a spin.

Cheers for the replies :thumb right: Its all finished now besides the oil pressure sender but the wires are plumbed in. Need to make them light up green like the rest of the clocks as they are yellow at the moment. :gag: -
If you have no discharge get the battery rechecked and your alternator.

Have you checked for current draw again after you rewewed the relay?
