Quickest car you've been in, owned and most interesting....
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to NickVR6's topic in General Car Chat
I used to work for a tuning company a while back and got a lot of exotic cars in most will compress your eye balls into the back of your head! They all had big power, but we had our own race car a Morgan +4 built two litre supercharged running on methanol kicked out 365 BHP on the rollers, also weighed about 600kg ! all alloy and wood ! This thing was mental on the road and i will start to build my own one at some point when funds allow, got most panels and chassis already tucked away  -
Proberly the rarest Corrado in existance today..

she was hit far to many times with the ugly stick... :drinking: -
Just cooler, there will be no need for it as the air will be dense enough. How are you getting on?
-
Slowly, got most of the bits i need now, going to pull head off to do seals gaskets, fit ARP studs then the SP manifold as doing them without taking head off is to much of a pain ! Off to scrapy tomorow to get some slim line fans i saw on a audi V6 coupe that looks just right for the job. Fitted Six branch and decat this weekend gone, made temp 60mm pipe to the rear box to hear what it sounds like.....oh yes!
-
you will need to as the fan motor is to large and you will need to run the intake hose just were the fan is.
-
I wish i knew that
-
look what i got from the scrap yard !

Current stat of play, not finished yet nor is the wiring done but it takes long enough just to get it to fit, looks good though 8) -

Yes its seen better days,i risked my life getting these, with another car balancing on the roof i was scared to open the door in case it imploded ! Going to try to fit these later on today, hope it goes smoothly :D -
Got these off a V6 Audi coupe for 20 quid ! I ran out giggling to myself

I think i have pulled the handbrake out of the car
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to BeavisJem's topic in Drivetrain
The handbrake would have failed at some point, the raddo handbrake is so poor the tester would have been trying as he would to get a pass and the welds on the handbrake would have failed at any time. Im a tester aswell and you lot just shout at us Just my two pence worth.... Cheers -
thanks Chris Ive fitted mine and wrapped it with no problems at the same time fitted decat and wrapped that as well, ive noticed a good gain in power than before but annoyingly gained a chuffing sound from the 6 branch, its the thin wall of the header pipes that resonate the sound. Its a Raceland one and its a worth while mod.

Looks nice and neat :thumb right:
-
Hmm,this is an odd problem.Has your car stood for a while, are you sure all the pipe work you had problems with are all conected? Give the car a good run and see how it goes.

Fit for a King..
-
Who and how was the engine put in? was the original loom used or was it modified to fit,you should have a EOBD port, get it pluged into vagcom to find out more. Popping off throttle just could be the exhaust drawing air in via a small leak, the old unused fuel will be re-ignited and pop in the exhaust.
-
Its just surface rust,Best off removing the rear axel and what ever else and get is shot blased and poxycoated, trying to clean and paint parts whilst on car is a pain and you never get a coat on all over the axel ect.
-
Yes this can be normal depending on how hot it is,there is a sensor near the inlet manifold that reads engine bay temperature, and will stay on for a while until it cools down,my mates G60 golf does the same.
-
pkripper's red G60- A few shots after a wax last week.
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to pkripper's topic in Members Gallery
That's a gorgeous looking car mate don't get rid of the rims it suits it very well. -
How would it do that?
-
Here is a mobile pic, just reroute the pipe from the black box directly into the inlet manifold.
-
I have bypassed that top picture on all my VR's and the idle has been alot betre and stops stalling at junctions. I will go outside now and try to get a picture of how its done...give me 5min's
-
The top part would give you poor idle if it leaks air,as would the breather pipe broken as it will draw air in before the air flow meter, get both sorted and you should see an improvement with your idle.
-
breather pipe for the bottom pic and the top is the Idle reservoir which does naff all.
