    15k!!!! even with an agreed valuation the Insurance company would not pay a figure like that out in the event of a claim...........I think an agreed valuation should reflect what the vehicle is worth to sell not the total cost of all the bits youve ever bought for it.........imo In fact if you look at the small print on agreed valuation if in event of an accident the assesor thinks the valuation was a complete load of rubbish they can agust the pay-out IIRC

    brother had a Mk1 GTE in black, was a great car at the time.....does not seem many anbout nowaday....either rusted away or being kept in Garages for shows

    Looking good Steve, IMO just need to get rid of those nasty Fox Alloys and get a decent set to finish the look right off. Looking forward to seeing you at the shows this year.

    someone will be along in a mo to correct me but 1760 at the top of third is about 12 or so psi so would indicate the charger is fine, i think i get appox that with a 68 and a fairly recently rebuilt charger. Id ignore the reading at idle..........

    not keen on the centre design on the first, 2nd set look nicer........bit of a fan of your car as it looked with those BBS though, dont think you could improve on those !

    would not have thought so unless the abs sensors r causing one of the brake calipers not to work........unlikely though. Should be fine. U will miss it trying to brake on a wet motorway!

    My Other Cars a charged up VW :) Thanks for your help, thought i might have to graft a.....my other cars a porsche sticker with the VW emblem but 123Stickers seem to cater for one off's pretty cheaply ! Shame they r not in the UK, should not be a prob shipping over here though! Reckon the 8"x2" should be about right.........

    picking up a 2.5ltr Vectra CDX with lthr,climate,45k miles etc for trade price to run up and down the motorway each day to work........Corrado is not really suited to the bumpy country back roads i go on in order to get down to the motorway.....whooshing noise of the charger is not really suited to the company car park either ! .....anyway anyone know where i can get one of the above stickers from on line as i would not want people getting the wrong idea..... :lol: Cheers

    make sure the V-tec's in 2nd b 4 u try racing him.....wont be easy to keep with him in 1st gear....

    Does the g/box have a dipstick in the engine area or are they sealed units?

    Ive heard there are only about 4 specialist auto companies in the UK.....Renault ones.......VW have no idea when it comes to dismantling the auto box...... Im listening out for whines/crunches etc and making sure it kicks down rapidly.......anything else ? Any engine leaks acceptable or if I see oil leeks walk away? Thanks for the quick reply......what do u mean 'electrics' general stuff like windows etc

    Not had much experience with Vr6's - the cars got 46k and is a Auto Highline model. Any ideas what I should be looking for when I check it over people? Appreciate some tips ! :)

    those ats cups r very nice....fancy a set for my Golf Mk 1 Cab......do them in 7" as well....not sure of the offsets though?
