I'm way off Cambridge! It's mainly the machine polishing that I'd want to make sure I get right, thats something I've not done before. In fact, can you give me the make & model you use? I know its a Sealey, just not sure which one.

The one thing that holds me back when doing my own work on a car is that I've nowhere to do it. So I've being thinking! (I know, I'm scared too! ) How much would a lock up/small unit/somewhere I could work on a car be a month roughly?
-
I've only just started doing basic servicing, I suppose the biggest problem I have is somewhere to do it! I imagine ripping a car apart teaches you a lot.
-
About £1800 for the full lot. 9 days. Or 10 days and another £500 inc new car preperation training. It's a lot but I hope it'll be worth it! :)

I intend on doing a valeting course too. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... cb953b9553 Not cheap but better to know how rather than practice on other peoples cars!
-
And you seriously haven't worked in a garage before? How are you working out how to do this? Is someone showing/telling you or is it a see how it goes?
