Hi mate, Fuel pipe colours: Fuel feed = Black Fuel return = blue Not sure which is which on the fuel rail though? Also are you sure the tacho wire on the C loom isn't the blue/green one? -
Corrado already has the holes on the subframe. You will have to hack off one of the subframe clips and also trim off parts of the fins of the FMIC as they don't allow the lights to fit back in. Dependant on what FMIC you have Rallye or G60. If you have the Rallye one you will have to hack the fron towing eye support Apart from that its a awesome fit! PS VW can't seem to get hold of bolt number 5

LOL certainly is...had to be done tho! LOL

Hi mate, Haven't looked at the car for a couple of days now...going thru withdrawl I think! The temp sensor wire runs towards the drivers side bulkhead and disappears behind the brake fluid res. Still haven't got round to checking the fuel pipes :( As for extra electronics, no ideas yet  -
Wiring started....no turning back now... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfwiring.jpg[/attachment:15ufpgc7] wiring1.jpg[/attachment:15ufpgc7]

Its just the fuel afterun is suppose to kick in after the engine is switched off, up to re-circ the fuel if the temp in the bay (around the fuel lines) is too high, too keep the fuel in the lines cool etc. Not sure it will work now anyway  As for the temp gauge too the dash, this is a single wire connector, it is a yellow/red wire and breaks out of the loom in the middle where you have the bunch of earths to the engine. I'll check the fuel pipes tomm before I comment on which does what too :) As for dump valve, I'm tempted, but I'd rather spend the cash on wideband lambda or oil cooler :D Also how did you wire your alt? what did you do with the little blue wire? (see pic below) 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfalt.jpg[/attachment:h0s3fn7e] Also with regards to the water feed pipe, here is a pic (you can see where it catches the chassis leg:) water feed.jpg[/attachment:h0s3fn7e] Cheers -

Cheers mate, Appreciate the help! Have stripped out the sensors and am now left with ten wires? to the ECU. Did you keep the fuel after run wiring and sensor(single wire connector goes to down the loom behind the servo)? will it still function? Will also post some pics up later of that damn water feed pipe LOL Cheers -
Sukh cheers for the Rad, shame it hasn't stopped (much slower now though) the coolant loss, so the rest of pipes are next. Have a chat with Andy (Yeti) he has some very nice race seats for sale! So want a go in this when it's running Hi mate, Shame about the leeks, had the same prob on my valver. check the very small pipe behind the rads lower hose (its tapered and a few inches long only), mine had a split that was facing the engine block, so was impossible to see. Thought Andy was keeping his seats now?? They are nice tho :luvlove: Hopefully get out and about to some meets when its done, so will give you a blast round LOL

Thanks for your comments. If a nice set of Recaros does not come up then its going to get the carbon treatment :D

Think the QPE website states using a 1300 throttle cable then 8) What colour were the Corrado wires for the fuel pump, tacho and power supply? -

What grade is the oil your using? Try forge for hoses, they are pretty cheap. For throttle cable you can use your 16v one :) -

Good luck mate! I'll be watching this one closely! As for wiring that's pretty much what I'm going to do with mine...one sensor at a time! Should be fun as the instructions don't make sense at the mo! A couple of peeps on here have done it.....drop them a PM. What engine oil did you use? muppet at TPS tried to sell me VW Longlife? -
Very confused....went to TPS to pick up a few bits and bobs including engine oil and the guy tried to sell me VW Longlife oil for my BAM engine???? Thought Longlife oil was only for cars with longlife engines? Something's not right...can anyone shed any light? Was planning to use VW gold personally, but the guy confused the hell out of

Cheers Fellas, Progress is going to be very slow over the next month or two as I am looking after the kids full time. Two thoughts for the interior, 1. keep it standard and just add some Recaros. 2. Strip it out, panel with lashings of carbon fibre and have a cage and two bucket seats. :D

Just the interior left after this :)

Hi mate, Nice work...is the new lump in yet? I'm also in the middle of a 20v turbo conversion 8) using the QPE loom too. Would be good to compare notes as I have hit a few minor snags. Check your PM's Sukh -
LOL...Thanks...I think! Haldex will open up another can of worms I think.

welcome and Nice motor! Change to the side repeaters to clear and stick some silver bulbs in....really tidy's up the side of the motor for no more than £10! -
LOL - Looked at uprated cogs...but they are silly money! The gbox has been modded though using tdi cogs :) As for other mods I am looking at the breathing system, allready have a monster intercooler ;)
-
Thanks for all your comments fellas. Work is slowly progressing on the car....now have oil system and PS sorted. Need some help with the water bottle though, how do the 20v peeps on here plumb it in? As the existing location uses the highest point on the engine to connect to the reservoir. Also there seems to be a water pipe to the turbo that sits in the way of the drivers chassis leg. As for power the BAM engine is kicking out 225bhp it has the ko4 turbo so has the potential for more. For ease of use I'm planning on using the QPE loom which should take it to 270bhp according to QPE. However I also have a few other mods for the engine that should take it close to 300bhp :) As for the running gear 300bhp is the limit that is talked about, however I have have heard of peeps running 400bhp lumps with no probs. Guess its all down to how you drive. As far as I have looked into it the weak spot seems to be the gearbox, haven't heard of anyone blowing a diff or transfer box. As for the syncro system, I believe the power split is 90% at the front and 10% at the rear to start with. When the traction is lost at the front power is shifted to the rear. Have a very old review on it somwhere LOL

Cheers Bally......really appreciate any help, so any time is cool. Hope to have the oil system done tonight finally after Pirtek having to re-do the hose for the 3rd time yesterday. Also the power steering system will be refilled tonight, put a notch in the subframe just in case of any contact with the PS pipes, also slightly re-routed the rest of the pipes now clears the intercooler and subframe nicely
