Andy, had a Carbon-Tex rear spoiler on mine for a while with out it breaking. It does however flex when driving at speeds of 120mph + (German roads of course :D ) with either end bending down.

I bought my 6 point weld in roll cage from Custom Cages, who built Ken Larks racing Corrado cage. I have now been told the roof has to be cut out to weld the cage in, so I will now be replacing the roof skin with a carbon fibre skin for looks and so I can remove the sunroof.

Will be collecting my gearbox tomorrow after having it rebuilt and my lsd fitted. Can anyone recommend the best gearbox oil to use? Cheers Paul

personally I would remove the side strips and colour code the front grill and rear number plate surround, but at the end of the day you have to live with the car

N75 valve helps control boost I belive. I replaced mine with a Audi S4 N75 which helps if you have tuned the 1.8T. Pop down to your local VW garage, should cost about £40 quid

I use the new Emerald ecu on my 1.8T and im very happy with both the ecu and customer service I get from Emerald. Well worth giving them a try.

im currently having my box rebuilt and peloquin diff fitted by J P Race Shop in Silverstone. From what I have heard, they have rebuilt quite a few 02A gear boxes.

with the temp gauge, i had to use resistors to bring the displayed temp down to the actual heat of the water.

cool, got a EIP lightened flywheel and stage 3 clutch going on mine. Cant wait to see how different the car will feel. Out of interest how much did the work cost you in the end?

you dont happen to have a black 02a box there? saw 1 up there on friday that had the peloquin diff fitted. They came recommended by a friend and when I spoke to the chap he said they have done quite a few 02a boxs and peloquin diffs.

its a peloquin diff. Been quoted £150 for the work by a company called J P Raceshop at Silverstone Circuit.

Can anyone recommend a gearbox rebuilder who can also fit my lsd diff? Would prefer around the Herts/Bedford area, but would travel a bit further.

Same here. Mine was a ex dubsport Corrado with quite a few issues wrong with it. The Corrados off to Emerald soon for a day to be remapped, be nice to see at least 260bhp

ghee60 where is the work being carried out? As my corrado is a track day car as well, I have no use for the extra weight of a sunroof

samg60 what have you done to your engine? Mine is a standard setup apart from the Emerald and Forge adjustable actuator, turbo inlet pipe and turbo to intercooler pipe.

Anyone know the max boost pressure a K04 can run? Also how much power can you get out of a 225 1.8T with the standard K04?

spiggot rings are used when the bore of the alloy is different to the cars centre bore i.e vw centre bore is usally 57.1, but you may have a wheel that is 60.1, so you use a spiggot ring to make sure the alloy wheel sits on the hub correctly or you get vibrations when you do 60mph. Some alloys are purpose made for that brand of car and so they will be a direct fit onto your hub and no need for the plastic spiggot rings. If you want to use a large spacer, do use a hub centric spacer, its the only safe way to do it!

spoke to Darren at gwerks and the normal g60 driveshaft should be fine. If the rest of the car is to go by, they (i wont slag off a very well know vw specialist) probably put knacked driveshafts on. Going to use a standard g60 driveshaft again and see how it goes. Im hoping for around 290bhp, so I should be ok. :lol: As for the gearbox john, its getting rebuilt soon, with my new lsd and vr6 gears. Does anyone know if there are any differences between g60 driveshafts? are they the same no matter what year? if someone has etka and can have a look, i will be very grateful

Had the corrado up on a ramp today and i have managed to break the passenger side driveshaft in half! Im not even running full power yet! Can anyone recommend a company for uprated driveshafts?
