Wasnt giving it large! Could it be clutch?
-
Last night was pulling away from work, when I heard a klunk coming from the corrado. You can move the gear shift in to any gear, but nothing happens. Have checked the selector cables and they move when the gear shift is moved. You can put the corrado into any gear without having the clutch down without it crunching. Has the slave gone in the gearbox?

I still have the plates on my car. The coppers did mention the DVLA cracking down and taking plates with a £1000 fine.
-
Got a nice £30 fine this morning for my German plates, yellow rear and white front.

I use Wilwood Superlight 4 pot calipers on mine. Very good braking and pretty cheap compared to other options. Have a look here: http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/pr ... ts_id=4016

you wouldnt happen to know the size of the 16v rad? Im currently running 2x 10" Kenlowe fans and would want to use them again. Also what side is the bottom water pipe?
-
was just thinking £400 is a far bit for a rad, if I can just go out and got a G60 rad for less than half the price and it will do the same job. Anyone know the size of a 1.8t rad? Is it far too large to fit in a Corrado?
-
Has anyone heard or used one of these before? Heres the blurb off Awesomes website: 1.8T PowerGasket
-
samg60 - if you get a photo and part number that would be great. Been quoted £400 for a Pro Alloy rad which is smaller than the VR6 rad, not sure if I can justify that much on a rad.
-
I would never have guessed the blue pipes were for the intercooler. :brickwall: Was asking about the pipe work, because im having trouble with mine. I have a VR6 rad and there is not alot of room between the rad and the chassis, which is causing the intercooler pipes to rub on either side. Im surpised the 16v rad is up to the job with higher power levels. Samg60 - what rad do you use?
-
rado-steve what radiator do you use and where did you run your intercooler pipes?

thanks guys. the rubber part of the bush has already been removed, just the metal is left. Out with the hacksaw tonight then!
-
I have read the Wiki guide, but im a bit stuck. The Powerflex rear bushes I have are too large to fit. When fitting the bushes do you have to cut the half circle shape off the rear beam?

Anyone taken on the nurburgring in their C
tallpaul1977 replied to Jim Bowen's topic in General Car Chat
I managed a 9min on my first time out there. Its very handy going around with someone who has been quite a few times. Watch out for coaches going round! I was also very lucky to see the BMW F1 car going around, sounded amazing. -
im sure someone on ebay sells a kit that you could use. do you have any photos of the underneath of the bonnet?
-
Have you thought about moving the washer jets on to the wiper arms? Where did you get the bonnet from and whats the finsh like on the underneath of the bonnet?

I want to completely remove my sunroof and have it welded up. Has anyone done this? Do you need to put any extra strengthing bars in? My Corrado is mainly used for track days and once the sunroof has been sorted will have a 6 point weld in roll cage installed. Cheers Paul

My first time over to the ring and had a great time. Hopefully the roll cage will be in for the next trip.

Hi, when putting bucket seats in to my track Corrado, I welded metal strengthing plates to the floor and mounted the side frames to the metal plates. One problem with the Corrado is the metal bar that runs across the floor that the original seat mounts to, as this gets in the way of positioning the seat. Im 6 foot 7 and so I managed to mount my seats behind the bar and I can still reach the pedals. If you need anymore help let me know

1.8T conversion - problems with master cylinder
tallpaul1977 replied to tallpaul1977's topic in Engine Bay
Does the Ibiza Cupra/Golf mk3 have 3 outlets on the brake cylinder? Currently I have 2 facing the drivers side and 1 at the back going towards the passenger side. Please help someone! -

1.8T conversion - problems with master cylinder
tallpaul1977 replied to tallpaul1977's topic in Engine Bay
Thanks for the info Ben. Have seen a photo of the master cylinder on the coupehaus site, is it possible for you to send me a larger picture? Does your engine move much, have you uprated the engine mounts? -
Hi, i bought a Corrado with a 1.8t conversion, but have noticed that the cambelt pulley & cover is rubbing on the master cylinder. Is there another master cylinder(less depth) that i can use? Or is there any other way around this problem? The corrado was a 1.8 16v ('90) before the conversion and has no abs.

my car was not fully mapped yet and only running around 7 psi. Does seem a big coincidence that i have now lost power after the gauge was fitted. Will have a word with the guy who installed the gauge. Just had a quick look and the boost gauge vacuum pipe goes to where my dump valve pipe work is.
-
My Corrado has been fine, running really well with no problems. Had a boost gauge installed and now I have lost loads of power. Turbo sounds like it is spooling, just got no power. Have checked boost pipes and all seem to be fine. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know as im stumped. Car is running BAM 1.8t, Emerald ecu with a MAP sensor
