going to be using the car on track days and drag racing. Is it worth going for the six speed or just go for a five speed?

If I use the 1.8T gearbox, can I still use the 16v driveshafts etc? Will they be able to handle the torque?

Hi, im putting in a 1.8T lump into my 2.0 16v. Im aiming to run 300 odd bhp. How much power can the 16v gearbox take? What other boxes can take 300bhp? Cheers for the help Paul

A friend has a DBW Cupra Leon and said that the engine doesnt always respond fast enough compared to a engine without it. Anyone else find this with DBW? So when I get the engine I need complete block coil ecu + wiring loom keys?

Cheers for the help guys. What year did the 1.8t become dbw? If i get a engine without dbw can i not use the standard ecu? What parts do i need to get at the same time from a breakers such as keys, ecu etc? Also i have seen EIP selling complete tuned engines, can i get one of those and run a remapped standard ecu?

Hi guys, im having trouble find out what engine is best to use(dont want dbw) and what parts i need to fit a 1.8t into my K plate 16v. Tried searching but with no luck. thanks for you help Paul
