attempting to time head and cams right now, Im having a problem because when the lobes on the cams point upwards the timing marks on the sprockets dont sit at 9 oclock and 3 oclock as per this guide, the inlet seems correct its just the exhuast doesn't. any ideas why this might be the case? http://clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186796

People who like to think their cars are great but aren't.

When I went to get my tyres swapped onto my new wheels and guy in a lovely looking Saxo pulled up behind me and mentioned some BHP numbers. I didnt want to question them as I had no way of disproving them, but I imagined it was his cable-tied front bumper, 18" wolfrace alloys, huge skirts, twin dual exhuast that made the extra BHP, he did mention he was cutting his springs next week. Nice guy -
what cazza said, i was gonna CC my door handles on the satin but certain colours need breaking up with black trim etc
-
thats a good file there thanks. 8) they put vagcom on it and decided it needed a new sensor but I told them, which they forgot that they fitted sensors only a few months ago. Wish I didnt have to work tomorrow and go see what they are doing at the garage
-
gutted  dunno what i'd do, spent so time and effort with it

my mot garage can't get the light to go out. They aren't open over the holiday and i want my car back. Fitted new sensors thats all we done tbh. Thanks edited cause the predicted text on my phone is dodgy lol

are yours original? I bought mine and they were a little tatty so I took the laquer off and polished them, I got a set of 15mm spacers for the front but Ive not fitted them yet but when I do I'll get some close up pics for you. I think the back could be spaced out more and a little lower :D
-
you have the same setup, just 15mm on the rear, I have a pair of 6mm I may add to the rears maybe. do yours catch at all mine do but ive not worked out where yet
