If it not very deep then Meguairs Scratch-X will be a good start. If its a deep scratch then a machine polish will only make it less noticeable i would imagine. If its a swirling kind of light scratch then scratch-x by hand should get really light scratches out easy enough otherwise machine polish. But you need to know what you are doing really with a machine polisher as you could just make more damage.

Welcome to the forum! As ben16v you should be able to just stick a new switch in and it hsould work and again i would also de-wiper it. I did mine a little while ago and it makes the back end look so much smoother imo and if you get some Rain-X the water will just fall off the glass :D Pics! Rob.

Nah they only do dark burgundy and aqua blue. Althought the burgundy is similar to mine its not blackberry so i wanted to spray it anyway! I just used halfords primer, halfords mixed blackberry spray paint then lots of lacquer. It looks ok but i just didnt get the finish i ideally wanted due to not having proper spray guns and not having a proper heated room to spray in so it dried a bit matt. I have got it shiny with quite a bit of lacquer though but still not perfect. Im going to give it a T-cut to see if that will help. I tried a less abrasive polish which made it a tad better but still not great!

I just watched the Top Gear with hamster driving the corrado vr6 and i have come over all emotional! :lol: i havent watched it since getting my C and watching it again now i just want to go outside and give my car a BIG cuddle ... actually i think i might just do that! :lol: I LOVE MY CORRADO!! The headlights are ok but the indicator/fogs are a bit gay.

I have used one of those cheapy electric ones before mate and tbh they dont do any better than by hand. They are quicker then hand on larger panels like bonnet/roof etc but you cant get anywhere smaller with them really. If ya not careful as well they could probably do more bad then good. I would just use your hands mate and some nice microfibre cloths and take your time with it, the outcome would be better and more rewarding imo.

The doors by any chance? Mine aren't perfectly flush which is a bit annoying.

Im pretty sure its fine to scratch-x twice in succession mate. I did on my mates car. For the first go i used quite a bit of scratch-x but didnt concentrate on working it so much. Then the second i didnt use as much but i concentrated more on working the product. After the 2 scratch-x's you should then use the paint cleaner to prep for polish and then polish. If thats all you are doing then add the wax on top but if you are going to polish again then no point waxing. Think thats right anyway, Neil will confirm :D

Neil when you spray it make sure the room/garage is warm as mine wasnt and mine hasn't got a very good finish to it and have had to apply loads of lacquer to smooth it off. I polished it lastnight to see if it would come up a bit better and it did look a bit smoother but not perfect, but it looks good enough so not bothered really.

Its funny you should mention JBOB _Tony_ as i purchased a set of audi VDO guages off him a while back and they didnt come with the loom or cradle. He did PM me saying his mrs forgot to send them with the guages and he would send them out. I was the same sending him the odd PM after waiting and alas i have still not received them. Although to be fair i havent asked him about them for a while now as i forgot about them and not really that bothered. But IF he does have them i wouldnt mind them at some point please :lol:
