Anyone in Surrey fancy earning a few pennies this weekend?
stevef182 replied to stevef182's topic in Drivetrain
Jacko, sounds great. Whats your mobile number? -
Parcel shelf straps are rubber straps that connect the parcel shelf to the mounts on the boot lid and lift the parcel shelf up when the boot opens! They often perish/snap, hence the need to buy new ones!

Ollie, that would be great. Thank you. I think my biggest worry to be honest would be not having the right tools! I will PM you my mobile number. -

Just called VW - rear mounts are now obsolete..fronts, including bearings are £48.50 for the pair. A LOT more expensive than the Febi items. Is it worth it? Will it make that much difference? -

I had already planned to fit new top mounts, GSF any good or only worth using OEM? Thanks for the link Alex, and the advice David. -

Jacko, very kind but im busy every weekend for the next 6 weeks apart from this weekend.. t700bes and andycowuk - I had heard it was pretty simple, just really dont want to balls it up. Maybe i'll just give it a go if nobody else is about. -
Bought myself some KW V1 coilovers, and want to fit them this weekend. Would quite like to do it myself, as I have done most of the work on the car on my own, however it's my first time fitting suspension so not overly keen on doing it completely alone. If anyone in the area wants to lend a hand (and knows what they're doing) let me know. Would be hugely appreciated and i'm happy to pay whatever the going rate is!

Hahahahaha...good luck with that! Seriously! (but it's worth it, just dont tell the wife!)

Whats the worst thing youve done to ur corrado
stevef182 replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
Testing to see if the rad fans worked following some new wiring - left the engine running, went inside.. and forgot!! The fans werent working!!! :( Luckily caught it just in time, but there was a lot of steam and a looooong old puddle of water trailing to my front door! Div! Removing the fans without taking the font bumper off was also pretty stupid..took FOREVER!! Also cross threaded a goodridge brake house during an upgrade to 288mm fronts which i didnt notice until everything was back together, it soon started ****ing brake fluid everywhere..not good. -
I have speedlines, pretty good condition, all tyres legal although front 2 would need changing soon. £165 and im in Guildford so not too far.

Worst thing some has said about ur Corrado
stevef182 replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
Usual ones for me; ''Nice scirocco'' ''I thinks its time you got a new car'' - NO THANKS!! Also, my mum calls it a carrera - she always used to buy me PVWs for my birthday etc when I had my golf, then when I got the ''Carrera'' I ended up with a copy of 'Total 911' hahahaha. -
I also have one if it falls through with hombro_paulo
-
Ok in that case, so you are aware, Im off on holiday tomorrow for a week so wont be able to reply until I get back.
-
I am moving house at the moment and had a very stressful day yesterday, so didnt have a chance to get any pics. Sorry. Will get some pics tonight though.
-
Sure, i'll get some up when I get home tonight. They had a polished lip for a while (which you can see in my members gallery) but its faded a lot now and they look mostly like original. How good a condition are you looking for, mine are good but not mint.
-
Well they have tires but would need replacing soon anyway..would want £85 for it to be worth me breaking the set.
-
I have a full set but would split for the right price.
-
I also have some, located in Guildford

Loads of Corrado polished and chrome parts on ebay
stevef182 replied to voo51's topic in Ebay and Misc
Saw you have the momo boss for sale, is the steering wheel pictured also for sale seperately? -
Do they have part numbers on them mate?
-
Hasan, I also agree they look nice, the only thing I dont like is that they cover quite a lot of the markings on the dial. However, I have bought these before for about £10-15 I think, any imitations are a LOT cheaper than the DDI ones (which are north of £70 i believe) But as you said, a good gesture from Paul has solved the issue.
-
Thanks Paul, I have received your PM and have replied. Thank you for the goodwill gesture. No hard feelings at all.
