    Passenger door handle, must be full working order. And a VR6 original front grill, with badge, all clips in tact and good condition please!

    Have been thinking of doing the same thing, ideally wanted a mk4 golf TDI (reliable little buggers) but also considered a mk4 1.4. Called up my current insurer, they dont do a multicar policy, but the insurance on the 1.4 was only £90 or so cheaper than the vr6! (c.£450) So that put me off, however the above looks interesting. Would be keen to hear how others go about insuring their winter cars!

    Thanks for the help guys, all sorted. The nut that controls the 'side to side' movement had somehow come loose. Re-aligned the shift and tightened back up.

    Yup, but is there a particular brand/make that you would recommend. Britool, Clarke, Laser etc? or are they much the same?

    Thanks, I really hope that is the issue. Will have a look asap. However its not like it's tough to select first, its impossibe, as if it isnt there. Any other ideas?

    As above really. My VR wont go into first gear -no matter how far to the left you push, when you push forward to select first, it just goes into third. Just about got second gear, but very tough to select. 3rd, 4th and 5th are fine..for now. What are the possible problems, or is it obvious?

    From what i've read (and plan to do myself) SP263s are a good bet, both for naturally aspirated or forced induction.

    I was only trying to help as you didnt say that there was a cheap golf equivalent you were considering, you said you couldnt find anyone selling a corrado one. I agree it is usefull info.

    To be honest, think im gonna get the corded one, almost half the price and more power. Wires dont worry me too much.
