  1. Welcome, there are plenty of threads on here about 'steering' and improving handling etc. Coilovers is certainly a preference but a decent set can make all the difference (a lot of guys recommend KW, including me) and then upgrading wishbone bushes (powerflex for front and R32 oem for rear), new lower ball joints, track rod ends etc can help if any of the above are worn. Corrados are also plagued with crap steering columns/racks, and a few guys on here have upgraded to a polo fixed column (again there will be a thread on this somewhere). Hope this helps
  2. Cool, I will check with him. ---------- Post added at 12:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:05 PM ---------- He has sold the shell, sorry mate.
  3. I know someone that may have one, but in Guildford. Would you be willing to drive that far?
  4. What makes it buggered, i presume the part that I circled? As well as the handle and the central locking, I also have to slam the door quite hard for it to close properly, could this be handle related, or more likely the cause for it to break in the first place?
  5. As discussed, photo below. Have circled where it appears something has broken. Any ideas? Weirdly if you pull the drivers side pin up from inside the car the passenger side opens too, but using the key on the drivers side and the passenger pin does nothing. Any ideas on this as well?
  6. Yes sure, thanks. I will do it tomorrow as im out tonight. I had a quick look the other day and it looked as if a bit under the striker had split/broken, but will get a pic to confirm. (wierdly central locking has stopped working on the same side - although I reckon its just co-incidence)
  7. Although, not always the problem. I have one of Daves kits on my passenger door handle, but recently the handle wont work again. It did for a while, but gone again but this time a different part i think, just cant quite work out what. The striker is still in place so no fault there, it just doesnt drop enough to switch the catch.
  8. Yeah, plus they would look rubbish at the back, although surprisingly they look ok at the front - having said that i do have my eyes peeled for 2 8j d90s to upgrade mine at some point.
  9. Were they 4 wheels at 6j all round, or just fronts?
  10. I have 6j x 16 d90s on mine (only on the front though, 8j on the back) and aesthetically they are fine/good, although I cant say yet how it drives as im having lots of new suspension parts and tracking done this weekend so will report back once fitted and properly set-up.
  11. If you do decide to re-tumble the locks, below is how (I've done it before on my old 16v and its very easy) http://wiki.the-corrado.net/re_tumbing_locks.html
  12. I only ask as 2 nights ago I had the exact same done to mine, in the exact same place! I just dont get why anyone would do it. Plus, of all places, not the rear quarter!! Any other panel I could just whip it off and replace. Real shame.
  13. Nasty scratch..keyed?
  14. I presume table header should read 'no. of sets' rather than 'no. of rollers'?
  15. I can no longer open the passenger door from the outside (opens fine internally) I have already replaced the common faulty part with one of Daves door handle repair kits, which worked for a while, and the piece still seems to be in order. But from what I can see (having had a very quick look yesterday) is that the arm that presses the catch behind the handle now isnt moving down itself all that much when the handle is pulled. Part of the handle looks as if it has broken, and when i look at the catch inside the door it does move a bit when i pull the handle but not enough to release it fully. Is it easiest just to replace with a new handle and then re-tumble the lock?
  16. I dont mind at all mate, thats what the forum is all about. Once i pick them up from TPS i'll let you know. For now though, Powerflex front wishbone bushes for the VR (PFF85-201) retail at £21.06 each, but got mine for £29.99 for the pair.
  17. For reference this was how they looked when they didnt have a massive crack through two of the wheels!
  18. Had borbet As on my old Valver, but 17's - do quite like them still but think they look better as a 17'' wheel.
