Got a flash of the lights and the thumbs up from a guy in a modded bora this afternoon whilst out for a drive with the boy. Taking it as a chuftie as it looked really well done so obviously a man with taste!
-
Couldn't afford at the time, and if only you still had them now!
-
I want new wheels...... :( Looking good though mate, agree the RC's are a classic wheel.

Tough call, and certainly something I thought about before buying my old car back. In the end I wanted something a bit different and special to drive, even if not the quickest thing out there, so came back to the Corrado. If you're not bothered about driving the same car as a million other people and just want relatively cheap with a bit of performance then you can do much worse than the mk5 GTi or Skoda vRS (would be my choice) so if the boxes tick then why not go for it?
-
Where about in Cambridge mate? I've got friend who might want a set of these for his Caddy.
-
That'll teach me for not reading the 1st page! ..... I'll get my coat.....
-
Welcome! Looks good that does. Heater matrix for the windows or just getting a little over excited whilst driving? (Same goes for you Jim?)
-
Yeah, the hotwire type on the OBD1 cars are prone to failure. Once you get the bonnet up give all the connectors and the hotwire itself a spray with some contact cleaner to see if that helps.

I'm going to suggest MAF has failed. Sounds the same as the issues I was having with my old 12v lump and that was MAF in the end

I'll be there but might not be able to camp as it's close enough to me to bring the family for a change. Looking forward to catching up with everyone. -
I'll take the black carpet/trim fixings mate. Pm me a posted value and a I'll paypal it over.
-
That looks like a library pic directly from VW....... I trust he's asked for their permission as per eBay rules I highlighted earlier?
-
Yeah, before it went on it's Scottish holiday!
-
Oh, and rears made the biggest difference to mine.... But my old ones were completely shot, almost dangerous in hindsight.
-
James, You'll have to check my thread mate but about 10k miles ago for the wishbones and rears, slightly less for the suspension, and about 5k miles ago for the engines/subframes.... I think. Might even be a little less than that. Did the subframe ones on mine during the engine swap but they're pretty easy once you've got access to everything. If you have a way to support the motor I'd drop the subframe out if I was you
-
That'll teach me for reading too fast, thought you were going all out on the polys! Sounds like you've got the right plan then. Once you start you'll be doing the subframe bushes as well..... In for a penny etc etc.
-
You driven a polybushed car mate? Personally I thought it was far too harsh. Better rebushing in standard IMO. I've done mine and it transforms the car. But by the sounds of it the rest is a great idea, freshen everything up!
-
Sachs on mine mate, no judder at all.
