I'd love to come down for this but it's just a bit far. When the nights are a bit lighter it'll be a nice drive so I'll come then. -
I hope not as I think that'll be the death of these types of older semi-classic cars unfortunately
-
Lets face it, the money saved won't actually be used for anything to improve the roads, it's just another way for the 'Eaton Boys', as Kev rightly puts it, to pay for the massive increase in their pensions that they've just given themselves.... even though the rest of us are screwed long term. Criminals the lot of them! The only good thing I think that'll come from this is that I no longer have an ugly tax disc holder in the window.
-
I'd be interested in a set for the headlights and fogs/indicators. Welcome back!
-
Start an owners thread mate, always great to see one saved. Nice choice of wheels as well!
-
Looks good mate. Might tint the tops of the spare rear lights I've got now.
-
That's miles better already. Good work.
-
Engine block code is ABV on the 2.9 I believe. And AAA on the 2.8. Code is stamped at the top of the block on the airbox side.

Missed this post yesterday but I completely agree with Kev. One of the best things I've done to my car is the dual borla system. 2.5" straight through with no kink over the rear beam, great tone/bark on idle and booting it, and at cruising you'd think it was stock. Tailpipe is a bit plain but I like it, but a few have commented on it. Also, it weighs less than half of the original vw system. Feel free to head back through my thread but I think the original was about 21kg and the borla about 9.5kg. Bit pricy these days due to import duty but great system.

Liking the photoshops guys, cheers. Not sure what to do. I really like my wheels as they are.... but then I like them in silver.... decisions, decisions!
-
Opie oils on here will be able to tell you. They've got a website http://www.opieoils.co.uk/
-
Cheers Jim And Cheers EJ!
-
To me that's pretty bad. I'd be back on to the seller to explain and open a dispute with eBay/Paypal etc. Buckled = Poor going on Sean's scale I think.
-
Wow, that's pretty bad. In my time working for a local car dealers I only heard of someone doing something like this once.... and he wasn't caught on camera, he was caught by the MD! Instant dismisal
-
How this, it's a old one but I should be able to get the idea. Cheers mate
-
Evening all Can someone do me a photoshop as if I'd refurbed my wheels in silver? Can't decide on whether to go for something a but more showy or not now the paints sorted Or I'm prepared to listen to suggestions for 16s that might suit but will need clearance for the 4 pots.
-
Thank fully the wife loves the Corrado..... but my recent return to motorbikes wasn't quite as successful and ended up coming back to 4 wheels!
-
Ooh and check the clutch release bearing whilst you're at it.
-
Standard will be fine mate. Get the car into 5th doing about 35 and floor it, you'll soon see if it's slipping.
-
Standard or after market seats? I'd be amazed if something isn't up with your seat adjusters as Wendy on here is about the same height as my wife (5'4 ish) and has no issue getting the loud peddle down to the floor!
-
^^what he said!
-
Good man Karl, get one bought!
-
Got a real hankering for some Schmidt modernlines now....
-
Everyone's coming back. Great car mate, good to see you still around.

Thought I'd reply in here rather than clog up Bobby's thread. It's been almost impossible to do anything on mine at the moment due to work and family stuff. Hoping everything will get quieter after Christmas and I can do stuff finally. Have a garage now which makes life better. Good to see you making progress with your plans, I need to take leaf out of your book and buy more wheels!
