Yeah definitely don't scrap it. My old man has been looking for a project now he's retired and something like this would be ideal for him, and I'm sure there are loads like him that would love to save it so I'm sure it can live on.

If its intact and the rest of the flap is good I'll take it, price dependant of course. Cheers mate.

What's the locking tab like on the fuel flap?

Firstly, my condolences. Unfortunately these weren't popular cars in the most part. A quick autotrader search reveals that you're probably only looking at about £500-£750 in its current state. Tidied up in looks more like £3000-£5000 but from the pics I'd suggest that'll take quite some tidying.

You're welcome mate. I think I've got your mobile no. so I'll text you as it'll probably be easier to text me the details or I'll forget to write them down!

Cool. I was going to camp on site so Friday night would be best?

Hey mate, I'm coming to the national day and could swing past Reading? I was going to try and catch the convoy from Banbury but the M4 route is just as easy.

why is my car putting on sidelights when i try to indicate?
mic_VR replied to happyeaster's topic in General Car Chat
Is this all the time? The indicators operate the parking lights so when everything else is off this would be exactly right. If its happening whilst you're driving along then hopefully someone with a better knowledge of wiring will be along soon to suggest a fix. -
Shame it's not a VR6 as I've got a spare you could've had for nowt.

Sounds like an immobiliser issue to be honest. If you're sure the battery is good, check your fuses etc?
-
Nice work, glad it was sorted.

Ok tried to find a pic on my phone but if you go to this link you'll see what standard spring plates look like. http://www.veedubmachine.co.uk/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=1426 Do gaz supply modified plates or are the standards to be reused? If the standards are used then I'd think spring plate, bearing, mount, top cover, washer, bolt.
-
Hey mate, sorry I'm away so viewing this on my phone. If the gaps look wrong then suggests either incorrect mounts or plates. The vr are quite small and relatively flat. I'll post a pic if I can find one. I've never seen a washer/spacer like the one in your pic.
-
Did you change the spring plates when you fitted these?

I need to take it apart, I can't see enough in situ. A weekend of tinkering is required as I'm building quite a list of jobs. Give me something to think about whilst on holiday!

Tilt only, slide is very stiff or something has gone ping.

I've got GAZ on mine mate and they don't stick out that far. To be fair I didn't install them, and I'd say the steering is ok if maybe a little heavy. Sorry the pic isn't good but hopefully you'll see what I mean. Looks normal.

How hard a job is it getting the sunroof out mate? It's on my list of jobs for the Corra32.
-
Hey mate, when are you guys open? I'm only in Cambridge so would it be possible to pop over and see what you've got?
-
Fair enough, I'm at Inca so our machines are probably a bit big for what you're doing. The HP machines can be very difficult to get right from a print quality point of view. I've not got much experience with the Epson machines. Are you going to the fespa show in June? It's free if you pre-book a ticket..... And sorry for the off topic.
-
Can I be really boring and ask what printer you're using? I work for a company who make large format digital printers and it's always interesting to see what people are doing these days. Once I've got a nice pic of mine I'll be after one I'm sure.
-
Are you printing these yourself or getting someone to do it for you to order?
-
Hey Dave, I need a few bits for my newly acquired C. Would you rather I list it in here or shall I do a quick PM?

Love the TT, nothing like it in motorsport anywhere else in the world. Have been watching the build up and will be watching the racing each day. As a biker myself I'd love to go one day and ride it but not on TT fortnight, apparently it's madness for 2 weeks. Unfortunately a competitor has already passed away during practice.
