Standard luk or sachs G60 clutches can take 200hp no problem.
-
I`ll try and pop down.

I`ve bought a couple from gsf and both the elring and victor reinz have been multi layer steel. This can easly be checked when you buy one. Jason

This guy did have a shell for sale. mailto:[email protected]
-
GSF sell them for £26.

If it were me i`d put vr6 ratios in your g60 box.

The je pistons i have are 8.5 to 1 but i think je have since increased this to 9 to 1 which should be fine. Other pistons to consider are audi s2 ones which are 81.5mm at 8 to 1 i think. jason

It`s a long block with 83mm je pistons.

Rmn When i had it up at jabba it was developing around 260hp at the flywheel. It`s a 2L tho. jason

"Servo Assisted" brakes and forced induction motor
G60JAY replied to stormseeker's topic in General Car Chat
In line with the brake servo is a one way valve which allows air to only flow one way. NA cars have a vacuum in the inlet manifold, except at wot. Most forced induction cars work the same. Jason -
I just run a standard kr head with standard cams on my 16v g60 .The head does flow very well as mentioned above. The g60 rods have a bigger pin diameter then 16v ones but pistons can be made to either spec. Jason

Try the bilstein ones from ecp. Can`t fault them for the price.
-
My switch was doing the same so i took it apart and found a small peice of plastic had broken off and was jamming the switch so it would not switch on to main beam. When i assembled it again worked fine. Could be worth a try.

One of my g60`s has done 158.000 on the original engine and the other has done 125.000.
-
I had a similar problem on mine and traced it to the blower cover not sitting properly in the scuttle tray and the retaining clip not in properly. Jay

Something else, is the supercharger it`s self is putting a lot of stress on the bolt and key with the 20 something hp to turn it.
-
It sounds like the cables supplying your amp are a too small.

I worked out the compression ratio to be about 9.5-1, which seems high but i was interested to see how well it would run with such a high comp ratio. The charger was running a 70mm pulley with a uprated chip and on a motorway run at about 65-70 mph i used to get around 40-45 to the gallon. I think it makes a good cheap alternative to other methods of getting a 2L engine but I would recommend uprating the rod bolts to ARP or RACEWARE ones just in case. Jason

I ran a AGG bottom end in my corrado g60 for about 2 years with no problems at all.I just put 2 head gaskets together to lower the comp ratio. The 2E bottom end is probably a better one to use as it has piston oil cooling jets, where as the AGG did not. I`m not sure how long it would have lasted for but after 20000 miles it still ran fine. Bottom end performance was much better and to top it off the fuel economy went up. Jason

I had the eibach prokit springs on my car for a while but found them to harsh on the old pot holes and speed humps etc.The did improve the handling alot tho.

N903 208 02 is a standard bolt and covers most 8v engines except on the 16v where the bolts are longer to allow for the larger sprocket. When ever i change mine i always put a little thread lock on. Jason

Theres one more bolt up at the back i think.

Hi All Nice to meet you Jim and Chris.I did meet you Chris but you probably did`nt realise it was me.I was with Ant and Jim at the time.Good day tho and great to meet a few of you. Cheers Jason
-
Hi Ant Sorry to hear the bad news.Your not doing to well at the moment with your car.Have you still got the old g60 head around. I think the pistons should be ok in your car as they are very tough. Should be just a valve or too hopefully. Cheers Jason
